Dolphins players still view Jonathan Martin as part of the team's football family

Ten Dolphins were privately polled this week and six said they would welcome Martin back despite the national scandal his departure from the team caused. Two players admitted they wouldn't want Martin as a teammate again, and two others abstained.

I wouldn't welcome him, for the mere fact that he blows..

Out of curiosity was that same poll done about Incog? Our reporters are untrustworthy snakes - I think the act of them being themselves despite the alleged "privacy" I can see them giving he kumbaya answer fearful of a headline screaming "Player A would not welcome Martin back." Also curious if they polled the starters or scrubbinos as that also has a bearing on the results.

To do what, go get the water.......boy.

The day Jonathan Martin comes back will be the day I cease being a Dolphins fan.

I will of course resume my loyal duties once he has departed, again.

They didn't tell you that is was the practice squad they polled.

They would welcome him back!!!!???!!! Why??? The guy is a p***y. You go to the coach first instead of running home and calling up the media. The guy sucks. He crushed our already crappy season.

If only 60% said they would welcome him back and 20% said they definitely WOULD NOT and the remaining 20% abstain, how is that equal to the Dolphins would welcome him back?

Right now I have little stomach to relive watching a Buffalo type game in person.. especially with even less protection, run game, receiving and defense. I have no desire to possibly be around watching our high potential future hope get killed before my eyes.... BUT if Martin comes back, I'll make it a point to be at at least one leading the appropriate chants Mrs Grimes -style in protest of this toxic waste ever stepping back on our field.

The D line all probably voted yes for obvious reasons

Shocking development. The guy has been with the franchise for a year and a half and he's got friends/cohorts who want him back on the team. Who would have guessed? I particularly loved the post here recently that asserted Martin might have 2 supporters among 200 in the organization. Can you imagine the burden of that, going down the entire roll call and everybody saying no to Martin? To be correct you need a virtual clean sweep. All different backgrounds and points of view, yet they'll all share the same biases and extreme conclusion. Unbelievable. It's scary how far people are willing to ignore basic probability in favor of their own perspective. Utah has extreme political slant but even then the vote is roughly 70/30, not 99/1. On sites like this when there's a hot button topic everyone wants to use the same tough terms and words like never, with no clue toward the real world application.

He isn't coming back so who cares?

Oh, Hell no! JM needs to go to law school where being a whiney cash grabbing weasel is an asset & prerequisite.

p.s. Incog needs to fall in a wormhole and land back in the Stone Age where be belongs
