Dolphins, WQAM announce multi-year broadcast deal

As expected Jimmy Cefalo remains the play-by-play announcer. They have not announced his partners, as the Dolphins are considering both the Maddog and Joe Rose in a three man booth.

A good thing is that they will extend the radio network covering the games.

Are those broadcasts free? I live in Colorado and usually just listen to the tv guys, but if the radio broadcast is free, I might have to try it.

Since I live out of state I know it sounds strange but I actually listen to the opposing teams broadcasts on the internet. Its a little homer slanted to the other team but at least you get good play by play and the announcer actually knows the names and numbers of the receivers on his own team!

Its strange. It is supposed to be Illegal according to the NFL to carry games on the internet radio stations but yet every year I always find some station playing it. Here is the link I usually use.

I would love to see all 3 of them:
Maddog, Cefalo, and Joe Rose.
I think they would work well together, and as 3 ex dolphin players they would bring a good mix of on field knowlege. Besides their personalities would also be a nice mix: Cefalo, the quiet analytical type, Maddog the older member of the great Miami years with lots to say, and Rose as the homer who can relate the best to present players.

Jimmy Cefalo is not a PBP guy. Period. I don't need a "quiet analytical guy" doing PBP for my football team. If he wants to be quiet and analytical, he should go work for CNN. The guy is awful. At least Mad Dog appears to be coming back.
