Definitely he has a great potential, I mean, he has the same age as our backup RB Kay-Jay Harris, but in his first season (as a rookie) he had 233 carries for 1104 yds. and 9 TD's averaging 4.7 yds. per carry, that year Edge got injured and only played 6 games, but Rhodes' numbers are quite great for me for the rest of the season adding to this like I said he was a rookie...

Last time I heard of him, he was just released by the Indianapolis Colts, so what dou you think?

I doubt they would release him when they didn't resign james. Im pretty sure i would have heard much more buzz about him if he were a FA.

I thought I just heard Dungy say on the ESPN draft show that Rhodes would be given the first chance to start now that Edge is gone????????

If you follow that link to his personal page you find this

Colts sign Rhodes to extension
Perhaps girding themselves for the possibility that Edgerrin James could be a training camp holdout, the Colts signed reserve tailback Dominic Rhodes to a two-year contract extension, ESPN.com has learned.

If that's true, he should be signed through 2006, right?

Im going to put you for example the case of Mack Strong who was actually re-signed by the seahawks, and I'm also going to present you the case of Dominic Rhodes in the same picture (picture from the ESPN link I gave you, http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?positionId=9)

Not that it makes me a colts expert but I live in Indy and Rhodes isnt any kind of FA....he is there starting RB unless they get one in draft.
