no doubt this was the worst trade in the history of the NFL according to this boob

can't wait

And what were we supposed to do? Keep him for one more year while a talented rookie sit's on the bench. Sorry Don enough is enough! having two 2nd round picks next year will be very nice!

Have you reported that guy in you avatar to the FBI yet?

a 2nd round pick is good value for JT. However, losing him won't make us any better this year.

Later this week, I will evaluate this off-season... who did we lose vs. who did we pick up. I would imagine that on paper, having pro-bowlers JT and Zach Thomas would be better than having back-ups Akin Ayodele and Duane Starks. Saving $12 million per year is a good thing for next year, however, this team has no stars anymore... no stars means no playoffs.

If I'm building a team... here is my priority:
#1 RB (1 yard-rushing=2 yards passing)
#2 QB (enough said)
#3 DT (stop the run)
#4 DE (harass the qb)
#5 CB (no catches=no points)
#6 LT (by time for the QB)
#7 Center (50% of all runs go through the center)
#8 WR (score some points)
#9 TE (second target)
#10 MLB (stop the run)

If these 10 players on a team are good... you will win a lot.
Which of these are we set at?

A second for a guy with an attitude and saying he is only playing one more year and the only player not to report to camp sounds good to me. Thanks for the memories, the hard work in the past Jason, now thanks for the second rounder!

Well I count getting Ronnie Brown back a big addition, and then Jake Long and Justin Smiley are upgrades IMO. Also Yerimiah Bell, Phillip Merling, Ernest Wilford, the much better special teams players. Despite losing those two stars I think Miami is still a better team this year vs. last. Plus there's always the hope that our young talent like Ginn and Jason Allen emerge so things could end up being better than you think.

The funny thing is, that after the draft several GM's were anonymously quoted as saying that due to his age he was worth no more than a 4th rounder. In fact, that is why he wasn't traded on draft day. They weren't offered anything more than a 4th rounder.

It means no playoffs or a rising star appearing which would be great. I don't think too many people thought that Jason Taylor would be the difference maker between making the playoffs or not.

Ronnie Brown an addition? He was leading the league in total offense last year and the team was 0-7 when he went down.

They'll be extremely luckly to get the same Ronnie Brown in the first half of the season.

How was trading Jason Taylor a bad decision, especially when they really got over paid for his worth. Typical DC move giving a 2nd rounder AND another pick, most teams wouldn't even have given the second rounder let alone the 6th. I suppose the Dolphins could have kept Taylor here, and used his skill level to achieve 5-7 wins until we no longer can trade him for ANYTHING, instead of rebuilding for the future.

how much you want to bet we use the extra 2nd on a qb lol

It was a decent trade, a 2nd rounder is alot for a guy who is more focused on dancing than football right now so I think you guys did a good job and clearly he did not want to stay in Miami so you did a good job PLUS he's not going to win in Washington so you stuck it to him. Good job Parcells!
