Interesting read - Don Banks sees us as one of 3 teams in the AFC East going to the playoffs!

Also interesting to note who he thinks the best player is: Chad Pennington! :hi5:

2. AFC East

No division has turned it around in 2008 like this one, with four winning teams and a combined 22-14 record through 10 weeks. Last year it was the Perfect Patriots and the Three Stooges. All four teams have winning records at home this season, and Buffalo's 2-3 road record is the division's only blemish in that department. Thursday's Jets at Patriots showdown will give someone the inside track on the division title, but I can still see the AFC East advancing three teams into the playoffs. Keep an eye on the surging Dolphins, who have won three in a row and still have games against losers like Oakland, St. Louis, San Francisco and Kansas City.
Team on the move: Miami.
Team on the slide: Buffalo.
Playoff bound team(s): New England, New York, Miami.
Best player: Chad Pennington, Miami, quarterback.
Best rookie: Jerod Mayo, New England, linebacker.

Nice to see, hopefully they back it up with a couple wins the next two weeks.

About damn time. I think its sad how the rest of the league is seeing how great Chad is while the so called miami fans are so biased against him its not even funny.

The thing that worries me is that we need to work our way up to playing perfect football in order to seal our place as a playoff team. We can't be playing down to our opponents! We need to dominate teams we should so when we need to play hard when we face our division again, we can do it like we have been all along.

My football coaches in high school are wise men and they are constantly telling us, "you can't just turn it on, you need to play hard every week, you need to practice hard every day". We had a lot of talent this past year. We started really good and went 5-0 to start the season but then we began to take practice less seriously. We played a very weak team the next week and at halftime it was 14-7 and we woke up and played hard the second half to seal the game but against a better team we would have lost. The next few weeks were tough too and we lost our homecoming game and against our crosstown rivals. We couldn't just turn it on, we couldn't even turn it on with 2 weeks to do it. The 3rd week we won against a good team big! like 55-21 big! that was great momentum taking us into the playoffs but again, even though we practiced hard that week, we hadn't been building the momentum throughout the season like the other team had and we lost big.

The moral of the story is that you can't just turn it on during the game, and for us, even with a good week you can't just turn it on! you need to consistently play your best game every week and not stoop down to your opponents!

The rambler has struck again!

The ramblin' wasn't too bad. :) Nice story, pretty well written. As a high school history teacher, you give me faith in the youth of America.

best player: chad pennington, i love it.... Thanks jets

Best rookie Mayo, is that because O/lineman don't get any credit cause i'd have Jake Long ahead of Mayo right now.

Lowest amount of turnovers in the NFL can do that to a team. Fixing our Special teams and tweaking our Offense to sustain better on other than big plays, and we have ourselves a pretty good football team.

They really are not that far away from being a serious contender. They must stay consistent if they want to win more games. Lets see how Miami controls there own fate.

Its time to get rid of the Ricky smoking a joint pic, pretty lame and overplayed!!!
