Don Banks' Mock Draft 1.0

if crowder is not resigned i wouldnt be upset with this pick

dont like it at all. i am not a fan of his.

cant shed blocks, disapears in big games and gets lost too often.

no thanx...disappears too often...especially in big games...i'll pass...

i rather have Mcillop (sp) then him.

i'm not a huge Laurinaitis fan, but i think people are quick to say that he's either overrated or disappears in big games...

for the record, it's not like he was playing in USC, where maualuga is surrounded by moala, matthews, cushing, mays, that young new OLB and that DE who's in the draft (moore, or something like that) . James is on a very good team but he's probably their best player in the box, so it's pretty conventional for offensive coordinators to include him in the gameplan and exploit places around him.

Another factor that may explain why he's sometimes not that visible is because of the new trend in college football: the spread offence.
It has taken a small blow to the utility of a MLB, and sometimes, the effects are demonstrated on the field. I mean, what's most unimportant position on a passing down/play ? some might say DT but they provide pressure... IMO it's the MLB and it's not even close

it was just a few thoughts to feed the thread a little bit lol... for my part, if we lose crowder and draft laurinaitis, i wouldn't be mad, but i'd rather have guys like alphonso smith, cushing, or a RT if vernon isn't resigned

well its a good thing Parcells can see overratedness and wont pick this guy. we dont have to worry any more!

A Don Banks draft thread. Ha Ha Ha. Not busting on the poster, you only put out there what he published. But for anything besides the comedy relief it gives, a completely useless article. The guy is completely biased for certain teams and against others (i.e. man-love for the Pats and a complete distain for the Phins). His thoughts on our draft pick . . . . . who cares. It's obvious he has no clue, just look at some of the picks he's making. Then when it comes to ours . . . . a very high profile college, underachieving LB from OSU. A complete opposite type of pick BP and company would make in nearly any round, let alone the first.
Don Banks . . . .:sidelol:

how can that be underachieving ? :err:

i agree that don banks is not a draft guru like the mayocks, mcshays and kipers of this world, but he's an entertaining sports writer (most of the time) so i thought i'd share...

I agree, Banks is one of the few good writers on SI now that Z is out. He knows more about football than Peter King knows about buffets and coffee. :D
