When one of Imus's on-air partners, Warner Wolf, discussed Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones' legal troubles, Imus asked, "What color is he." When told that Jones is African-American, Imus said, "Well, there you go. Now we know."

The full transcript is below.

Wolf: "Defensive back Adam 'Pacman' Jones, recently signed by the Cowboys. Here's a guy suspended all of 2007 following a shooting in a Vegas night club."
Imus: "Well, stuff happens. You're in a night club, for God's sake. What do you think's gonna happen in a night club? People are drinking and doing drugs, there are women there, and people have guns. So, there, go ahead."
Wolf: "He's also been arrested six times since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005."
Imus: "What color is he?"
Wolf: "He's African-American."
Imus: "Well, there you go. Now we know."

I Wish Imus Would Go Ahead And Fall Over Dead.
His Racial Remarks Are Not Only Aggravating, But Also Humiliating.
Another Great Representative Of White Males, And White People In General.
Way To Bring The Whole Group Down With Your Ignorance, Good Call.

I hate to tell you Dom Imus is not more the representive of the whole white race than Carrot top.

He only brings down himself. Thats like when they guys mess up they go and apologize to Jessie Jackson like he is the official representative for the black race.

I am sick and tired of how big of ******* everyone is in this country nowadays. You cant say or do anything without someone complaining about it. If you dont like him, or like what he says, change the ****ing station. Everything on the news nowadays is a joke. If someone scratches their balls in public, its on the news. It was obvious when he said that remark that he meant what he said later on about it. Its like people dont listen or understand what people say anymore. They just look for a certain word or tone so they can attack someone. Its a ****ing joke and Im sick of it. Jesus Christ people, get a sense of humor and think outside the box for once. Now I will be the first to admit I am not racist at all, but if you get irritated by a stupid little comment like that, then I dont how or why you even leave the house. Should he have said it? Probably not, but its called freedom of speech. Should everyone get all bent out of shape over it? No. That is the problem these days. Everyone is so pussified, yes that is George Carlin word, about every little thing these days and everyone wonders why the world is the way it is.

I have never liked Imus but do think he has been unfairly marketed as the racist that he probably is. I do not understand why he would even say something as stupid is what color is he? I dont think he said anything intrinsically racist but why even open up that can.

Are people really trying to portray Pac-man as the victim? I'm sure Al Sharpton will get all bent out of shape like he always does. Pretend like he gives a damn and Jesse Jackson will be right by his side.

Should he of said it? Probably not. Though I think there is more "white guilt," making this a bigger deal than it is.

The Official BLOW THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION thread.....

Imus though, needs to just keep his mouth closed during ANY conversation remotely close to race.

Wouldn't you like to know why it's so important to those two, that people insult their race, but they could care less about how their "own race" is their biggest killers of their "own race"? In other words, why is it some national tragedy when Imus insults the black race, but when gang violence that results in a at least one black on black crime every single day in the city of Philadelphia you never see Sharton's big mouth saying a word about that, not nationally anyways.

Look how many innocent bystanders are killed as a result of drug and gang violence, look at the dump that is Center City Philadelphia and Camden NJ but someone says a "word" and the Black race is all up in arms about that? I sure would love to see the Black race focus on their youth and inner city violence. Fix that before they cry about words of some old guy on the radio.

I don't listen to Imus and I could care less about his opinion, he does not speak for me and my views. However, his words are far less violent then what the gang bangers and drug users cause with the pain and suffering from shootouts, drive by's and robberies in one evening in the cities near my house. I think those are far more important issue for Sharpton and Jackson to focus on then what someone says on a radio program.

It's because when there is a chance to gain some media attention both of them will do everything possible to get as much as possible. The News coverage of crimes in certain areas is bias. As much as I know News Anchors who assume a black death in an inner-city is drug related without any evidance. Al Sharpton is a joke and so is Jesse Jackson.

The only thing Don Imus did was stick his foot in his mouth, again. If people want to throw there hands in the air and get mad about it, so be it. Though Pac-Man still got arrested 7 times. A man still is paralyzed because of something Pac-Man was involved in, allegedly. So portraying him as the victim is absurd, IMO.

Honestly what Imus said was true. When you think of nightclubs, what picture comes to mind? Rap? African Americans? Drinking? Violence? Violence might be hit or miss but the others are always there.

Now every race gets busted for DUIs. But then again, a lot of blacks get into trouble with the law. Pacman, Chris Henry, Cedric Benson, or other gets into situations that aren't good, i.e. Walker who was coming from a nightclub in Vegas.

That being said, Imus shouldn't say anything related to race b/c of what he said about Rutgers. He's tainted forever and this certainly doesn't help.

Im sure alot of white americans go to nightclubs and rap is probably not high up on the most played list of most night clubs. All races get into trouble with the law.

Or Maybe We Should Give Him The Benefit Of The Doubt On His Comment..
Not Like He Called A Female Basketball Team That Was Mostly Black "Nappy Headed Ho's"
Hes Not Racially Biased At All..

I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find demeaning words about females used in music. If you searched hard enough you could probably find derogatory comments made about every race in music or on the radio. I just think society needs to grow a pair and quit being soo sensitive to everything that's going on. If people don't like what a guy says then don't listen. It's died down but people used to post things about they hated a certain writer or guy on the radio. Though they obviously were reading or listening to them. My question is to why? If you hate what they're saying and they're "idiots," why are you listening?

When you think of night clubs? Perhaps you and Imus should get together and go to a club....it would do wonders to relieve the ignorance.
