Dolphins
With Culpepper, Saban hopes to enjoy the prospect of a proven quarterback. Only two years ago, Culpepper threw 39 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions for the Vikings. But he is coming off a serious knee injury and may not be 100 percent by the start of the season.
Culpepper, who thrived with Randy Moss and the tutoring of offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, will have neither in Miami. Linehan moved on from Saban's staff to become head coach of the Rams. Mularkey will have to mesh with Culpepper faster than he did with Losman in Buffalo for the Dolphins to be dangerous.
With Chris Chambers and Ronnie Brown, the Dolphins have weapons, but if Ricky Williams is suspended again, the offense won't be helped. Saban also hired Dom Capers to help out his defense.

Big deal. Another guy's opinion on something.

Anyone keep a tally on who likes us to win the East and who doesn't? Otherwise whats the big deal?

This info does also come from MSN NBC so there goes alot of credability!

regardless its JUST someone's opinion

It doesn't really matter right now. You can't dethrone a team based on off-season moves.

In order for us to be the man; we have to beat the man. Right now; New England is "the man" until beaten.

Who the .... is Don Pierson and who cares???

It is interesting that the Dolphins have the best division record against the Pats in the Bill Belichick era.

This is a good article... I think he is correct that the Dolphins have a chance to surpass the Patriot. Until our Dolphins live up to the hype... The Patriots will be and rightfully so be the front runners in the AFC East.

Don Pierson doesn't seem to know much about what the fins will do on O this year, while Linehan is gone, we will still run the same system Linehan installed and Culpepper played in 2004. I'm not worried about what people say we will be a strong team on O. I don't mind not winning the East either because we are still a year or two away from where we want to be, IMO. I think after this year...It's on baby!!!

I could not agree more. Guys, we've lost the division since 2000. Until we are champions, we cannot claim we are the best. Do our prospects look good? Yes! I also thought we were going to tear up the Redskins in SB 17, but then John Riggins had a different idea. Get what I am saying? There is a reason for the phrase "That's why they play the game."

I hope he can give us his opinion again in December. :tantrum:

I say NE is going to lose the East by a vinateiri.

Realistically, he, IMO is absolutely right. New England is on top of the AFC East until they are dethroned. I predict the Dolphins will in fact do that, but they remain AFC East champs until then.

Exactly... 2005 was the start of the conference correction...

How dare he suggest that we have not fielded the best team in history!
