Sticking it to the man!
did anyone see Shula at the game? im sure Saban was probabaly a tad bit nervous knowing that he has some big shoes to fill. The rich history and tradition that Shula had with the Fins.

nyjunc said:Saban has no shoes to fill, it's been a decade since Shula was Miami's coach and 2 decades since your last SB apperance and over 3 decades since your last Championship.

To you and other non-Dolphin observers, I guess not.
To the Dolphin faithful, yes he does. Don Shula's legacy will always cast a shadow over new coaches for those of us who lived through his tenure. I'm sure Green Bay fans would tell you the same thing about Lombardi.

nyjunc said:The packers suffered through 20+ years of mediocruty after Lombardi left and when Lombardi was there they were always competing for Championships. Shula's last decade he did not come close to a Championship and the guys that took over kept them as competitive as the final decade Shula was there so it's different than GB and Lombardi.
