It seems to me---best-case scenario---the ’07 Phins Phinish with a winning record (i.e., 9-7) and based on the Peter Principal find a wave into the playoffs! But, upon a serious reality chuckle, most likely this team will swim sideways too much and Flounder to a losing record --- probably around 7-9.

My crystal football tells me there are far too many ???’s to legitimately foresee this team becoming “highly competitive,†and most likely we will still lose a few games against “winnable†competition. That means (gazing through the fog) “more losses than wins, and yet another season without a clear indication of a super Fin on the horizon.â€Â

But, but…all is NOT lost!

I for one would consider the year a significant success if we add a payload of young talent via the draft and produce a REAL OL. We also need to see significant on-the-field production from our existing young talent including: Roth, Toledo, one of the Wright’s, Hagan, Alabi, Evans, and Jason Allen (who needs to prove he wasn’t a waste of draft potential).

The Dolphins “young talent†is really a big part of this teams collective UNKNOWN quantity. And there are almost as many questions as there are roster spots, and it’s unrealistic to expect all questions solved positively this year. And let’s not forget our biggest question --- the QB position, where even the Amazing Kreskin is clueless.

Could CPep become ALL-Pro again? Could CPep prove washed-up? Could CPep prove better, but still not “right.†How about Lemon? Is he a for-real NFL QB, or just a wannabe? Will the Fins snag the second coming of Marino in the draft, or will we sign Trent Green who promptly plays like he’s 27, not 37?

Oh yea, will this be the year Ronnie Brown proves he’s an elite NFL back?
I think he will if (?-?-?) the Dolphins build the power OL he needs. As I gaze into me crystal football, I believe that’s Cam’s #1 priority for this season. Furthermore, if that’s not his #1 priority, I predict his tenure will be tenuous.

Last…

NE Sucks!

F that. I expect it all every year. Why have it any other way? You live and die with your team. These Dolphins are my team. We go all the way man

Saints had the #2 pick overall last year and went to the NFC Championship.... I still have alot of hope for us!
Where can I get a crystal football and is that just as good as a crystal ball?
...and for that matter, mirror mirror on the wall, who's are best quarterback for us...Cleo, Pep, or will it be the mighty Quinn afterall?

Glad to see you guys are “optimistic.†But it seems to me whatever stuff you’re smoking is coloring reality a tad too rosy.

Miracles do happen, and I also believe in the Easter bunny, but don’t expect a miracle because (((most likely))) you’ll end up disappointed and probably posting for Cam’s scalp by week 8!

“Perspective†is a good word, and so is “balance.†Do yourself a favor and get a balanced perspective on where this team is really at RIGHT NOW. And don’t lose sight that we’ve got a way to go --- as long as we get going in the right direction... That’s what I want to see right away, and I’m willing to deal with a “realistic season†in order to get to where we all want to be --- beating the piss out of the Patsies until they refuse to play us anymore and jump ship to the CFL where they belong!

In the mean time, until that happens, you guys need to understand this team is in transition, and live with that in the REAL WORLD.

Apparently you're the cat who likes to stress himself out.

I like a good cinderella story, but sometimes you guys cling too tightly too them.

I'm with you bro. When you're realistic about it and they end up exceeding that, it feels so much better!

How about we let people make up there own minds and how they want to think about the upcoming season????

Some say it will take time, others say it won't, so be it, but there is no reason to step on ones hopes.

And who's to say ones opinion is the wrong one???

Time will only tell.

What would the world be without hope?

I'm saying man... leave reality at work. Football is for dreams. The Dolphins will make mine come true one of these years and I will never let go of that.. not for all the "balance" in your universe.

I cannot tell a lie, I can only tell the truth
The best quarterback for us, has some youth
He'll be smart, strong armed and knows how to win
Suffice it to say, it's the Mighty Quinn

It's not how I really feel but you never know
Old or young are both the way to go
Whether it's Cpep, Green, Lemon or Quinn
I'm all for whomever helps us win.

Sounds like a typical bandwagon jumper. When things are going bad...I told you so. When things are going good...I'm on board with everyone else.

It all starts up front, if Cam, Randy and Houck don't build a solid OL we are doomed to mediocrity and failure no matter WHO starts at QB!

Whether we think we'll stink this year, make the playoffs or win the SB, the Miami Dolphins will be the ones who decide their fate.

Not you, not I, not them, not anyone.
