Donnie Edwards gives Zach props

nice id love to have donnie here but it dosent seem possiable. b/c we cant trade picks for him and so anyways i love the guy he is a primier lb and has great personality!
 
edwards n merriman worked very strong together last year..tht would be a stupid move on san diego's part if they were to let donnie go.. but anyways its good to kno tht other linebackers around the league appreciate zach's play
 
Have to really start questioning AJ Smith. He seems to be bungling everything. Looking at all the good people who keep leaving the team. He thinks he can replace them, a. la. Patsies, Eagles and Steelers, but so far he's been wrong. and drafting LT was a no brainer.

Edwards has been a stalwart (sp) LBer, but where would you play him ?? He's a MLB....would you sit ZT ??? He and Thomas are the same age and pretty much same size (Edwards is a little taller, but Zach is a little faster...) I like the guy, but we really have no room for another ZT...If he were 5 yrs younger or something and could take over for Zach, that would be one thing....But he's not...
 
it isnt impossible that we acquire edwards....if SD cant trade him, he may be a cap casualty on june 1st, in which case i think we do go after him, especially if we dont sign lavar and we draft Donte Whitner or another DB with our first pick.

we would play him as an inside LB in the 3-4 with taylor and crowder as OLB
 
Edwards has played OLB before too if I remember right. But if that was the case he would most certainly be a OLB in a 4-3 scheme of ours.

Wasn't LT drafted same year as Brees, a la Vick trade? And Brees was not AJ's man, therefore it was Butler who drafted LT right?

Yup.

A.J. is the man who let Junior and Rodney go, drafted Philip Rivers then held on to Brees to long without reading the fine print of the CBA and losing at the worse a 2nd for Brees among some other questionable moves.

I'm not sure, but I believe that he played OLB in K.C. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

inside on a 3-4 u have 4 lb's not 3 so crowder,edwards,thomas,who ever else taylor or what it works out to be. also edwards has nice speed and can play outside secially he can pass cover.
