I was watching ESPN earlier, and they were doing an interview. A question was asked of him "Which linebacker in the league would you most like to play along side of?"

His response was "Zach Thomas"

He is entering free agency tonight. Now I know that he will do what is best for him and his family, but it would be nice to see them paired up. Only if it was financially good for the Dolphins.

It would be a horrible move for us to sign him. He is a great ILB but he doesn't blitz well. That would give us three guys playing the 3-4 defense who can not get to the QB.

If we signed him I would be very very disappointed.

Edwards is a good coverage LB and ranks among the best in int's But I agree, we need an LB that can get to the QB on a consistent basis. I don't know if Porter will mesh with the vets though...

I did not even realize that Porter is only 29. We need to go make a big move, do what it takes, to get him here. He has a mean streak, he is the OLB we desperately need on the other side of JT. Think if Quinn didn't fall to us, and we added Branch or Landry. Our defense would be the best in the league.

Edwards... I wouldn't over pay for him, but he is a solid linebacker.

Porter should be one of our 1st signings, look at our depth a linebacker, its terrible for the 3-4. Porter fits in perfectly, I would assume we could do a 4 year deal 14 million wouldn't be too bad. Sign him now!

i think he'll want more than that.

Porter will sign in Cincy so he can play against Pittsburgh twice a yr. Marvin Lewis lets his players run loose off the field, so Joey will fit fine there.

I would bet we bring both in and let the money dictate who we will get. I predict we end up with Donnie Edwards and guess what? Thats a good move. If you should want any high priced guy it should be Clements.
