Is Donnie Jones a liability? Is he going to be a weak link today in the game or is he a fine punter? The last thing we need is a 20 yard punt giving up field position hurting our defense
 
Jones will be fine. In fact, Turk will probably lose his job.
 
Jones is better than turk. He played in pre-season, had about 6 50+ yard punts, if memory serves
 
There were few members here who thought putting a punter on the practice squad was a waste of space. I wonder what they think now! I think Turk could end up losing his job.
 
Since he was placed on IR, Turk already has lost his job for this season.
 
The biggest concern is not Donnie Jones but who is going to be the holder for Olindo Mare.
 
Turk is done. I was surprised he wasn't cut earlier. (He will get an injury settlement and be cut)

Turk will save us $765,000
Donnie will cost $300,000

Free's up $465,000
And we will hold on to $166,666 in dead cap.

They will leave him on IR until he is medically cleared then they will cut him. This way they will avoid having to pay an injury settlement. If they were going to pay the setlement they would have just cut him instead of putting him on the IR.
