Like it is supposed to mean the Dolphins will likely win this week. We've all seen our team... we don't play with a lead as the other team always scores first...

The remedy for a slumping Patriot team would be to play the Dolphins. Just like Kansas City... just like Atlanta where after the game Mike Vick was proclaiming himself as the "real deal, all around QB."

Some of the Patriots weaknesses have been exposed, like their secondary on Monday night. But that was done by the best passing QB in the NFL, and a group of all-star receivers that actually make catches.

Our receivers lead the league and inconsistency. And for us to take advantage of a breakdown in the Patriots secondary means that our QB would have to throw past the linebackers - something HE DID NOT DO on Sunday.

I'm tired of losing - and the responsibility is on BOTH the players and the coaching. There have been some crappy play-calling, especially in Sunday's game.

The intensity will be stepped up a notch - hopefully the Fins will react to a similar level as the Patriots. Are we 3-6 or 4-5?

i agree its still the super bowl winner patriots who come to town and i´m worried about our secondary in this one

Last year the Super Bowl Patriots came to town. This year it's the former Super Bowl Patriots coming to town. This isnt even close to being the same team defensively. They are a poor defense this year - at best average.

They are a shadow of the team that won the last 2 SB's and yes they have slipped. They are an average team right now. However, are the Dolphins good enough to take advantage of that?
I don't think so. If the game is close does anybody think the Phins have a playmaker in the secondary that can stop the Pats controlled passing game in the last 2 minutes of the game? I don't think so.
Only hope for the Phins is if our front 7 really hammers Brady and stops their running game and if our offense can get us up by more than a TD going into the last 5 minutes of the game.

Man, I am so sick of hearing people say "they are still the champs, and are until someone beats them".

That's BS!! The Patriots are no where near the team they were before and if the AFC East was a bit stronger I'd say they wouldn't even be a thought for the playoffs. In 1999 when the Bulls played their first season without Phil, MJ, Scottie, and Rodman they were still "champs". You didn't hear people running around spouting this craptastical mantra then. But let me guess, it only holds true according to specific principles which are made up according to each individual circumstance

This doesn't mean we are guaranteed to win at all. NE has a shot just as anyone does that plays us on Sunday, even Houston or Green Bay right now. That doesn't take away from the fact though that they just aren't a good football team anymore. It's a shame that the media and some of the Patriot players have to pout about accepting the cycles of winning/losing though.

Well, I do agree that the Patsies have slipped a little. If you watched the Colts game, there was no doubt. That said, I also believe that we don't have the consistency to expect that the Patsie will fold, whether they score first or not. As you said, if the Fins waltz in there expecting the Patsies to fold, their going to have a rude awakening. That offense can still move the ball and Dillon can still run. While the DL and DBs have slipped, they still can beat a team whose OL is improving, but also not consistent, a team who's QB is mediocre when at his best and is struggling with inaccuracy. I strongly believe that Gus can make the Patsies DBs look better than what they are. He has proven that so far this year.

I do dissagree with your assessment of the WRs...they can't be any better than what they are until the QB play improves. There is one position in football, the ultimate team sport, that affects the rest of the offense and team more than any other...the QB...ours is inconsistent and inaccurate at best. I'm sick and tired of fans (and now Saban) questioning the recievers when the obvious cause of most of the issues is inaccurate QB play. While I'll concede that Saban is more knowledgable than me in matters as this, and he has to support Gus, somewhere along the line we have to start calling a duck a duck...We have a duck for a QB right now.

That just about sums it up for me...very well said. Unfortunately you just pissed off the entire worlds duck population.

I don't give a hoot how bad everybody thinks the patsies secondary is, you have to have someone who can throw the ball and hit someone, besides the defender.

I'm not any less scared of the Patriots than usual. Now they're playing pissed. I'm a little worried about our secondary in this game.

the pats have slipped because their real coach is in south bend. i hate hearing about the injuries they have, they have as many as every other team. they will still make the playoffs, but the recent bad drafts is the reason they cannot plug new players in.

If we can edge them out to win the division I dont think they make the playoffs.

I am sick of this negativity, lets all just put on our aqua and orange glasses and unite in the fact that we are going to tie the division against the Pats this sunday

They have definitely slipped. That does not equal "we can beat them". But to say they haven't slipped is to ignore plain reality.
