We are 7-5 because of Chad Pennington. Chad is somehow getting stronger. His arm is getting stronger, dont ask me why?, it just getting stronger. Chad P. doesnt make mistakes and moves our offense against any D. His kicking butt like he did with the Jets. If it wasnt for our inconsistence Defense we should of be 9-3 by now.

I guess Chad caught all of his own passes too, and took all his own handoffs, or stopped the chargers 4 times in a row on the goal line.

Need I go on?

I don't think there is a person here who doesn't already know this.

Puff Puff Pass. Chad has played solid, and well enough to give us a chance at the end. If it wasn't for our D, and the take aways specifically, we would be a 3 win team....if that. Putting up 17 points against the Rams is hardly spectacular. Besides the 1st Patriots game, our D has been the main reason we are in it at the end. Chad is a great game manager, but you see what happens when we get into shoot outs.

Just imagine how good we could be with Matt Ryan. Maybe 8-4 like Atlanta.

Well I do give credit to Pennington because he is a big part of what has happened this season. But lets not count out our season with Henne as starter. I know people will tell me I've been puffing but how can you say he couldnt have been better than Flacco who came from Delware. Both of those Rookies have suprised and who is to say Henne couldnt have been the third.

Please tell me what happens?

If you're referring to the Patriots loss, I would feel obliged to point out that Pennington threw for 341 yards and 3 touchdowns, matching the Patriots almost play for play.

The reason we lost that game was not because of Pennington. It's because our defense allowed a career backup to throw for 415 yards and 3 scores.

And even still, we were in the game until the latter stages of the fourth quarter.

Blaming Pennington for that loss would be like blaming Cassel for losing to the Jets in overtime the week before (a game in which he had monster numbers).

Pennington has been such a huge upgrade over anything we've had since Marino, that's its difficult to fathom that there are fans out there still trying to somehow rationalize that he's not the primary catalyst for our turnaround.

Quarterback is the consensus most important position in football, and Pennington has been one of the best in the league this year.

I agree the biggest differance is the qb. Dont forget Ronnie was leading the league in scrimmage yards last year and we did not win of those games.

There is NO doubt in my mind he should be in the Pro Bowl this season.

Or as happy as everyone's been with CP, had he not come along, who's to say we wouldn't have been 9-3 with Henne.

I agree that Chad is our MVP this season....I don't think he's the only reason we're 7 and 5 tho.....but he's the MAIN reason....you have to give credit to Long and Smiley...you have to give credit to Ginn and Cam and Bess....Fasano's been pretty good too...then you have Ronnie and Ricky making some plays too...but yes,Chad's our MVP

Ozzy rules!!

game manager

I think that "good game manager" is a pretty back-handed compliment for a QB, and doesn't nearly say enough for what CP's meant to us this year. Managing a game implies that he holds it all safely together until some other player can win the game. Not from what I've seen this year: Chad is a completion monster (3rd/long down needs some work, but I blame play calling there).

And let's not underestimate the leadership factor. The offense trusts him, and believes he will get them a win every week. That's a huge plus, and I would guess not as common in the league as it might otherwise seem.
