Ok basically the odds are against us going 1-15 again or worse. And last year we did it by a fluke (I will explain). And Our 0-2 start this year is nothing to be worried about. The Steelers started last year 0-2 and ended up being 1st in the AFC North. How about the NY Giants...they started the season 0-2 and we ALL know how that turned out.

And about the fluke....we lost 6 games by 3pts!!! 3 thats it. It took 31 years for someone to even get close to the Bucs record of 0-14...unfortunatly it was us but it still tok 31 years. Im am no math major (actually I failed algebra) and I couldn't find out how to figure the odds on Google (so I suck at seachin on the internet too) but dammit the odds are astronomical!!! Now I am not predicting a Super Bowl or even a wild card...But we will be greatly improved. What more can we hope for, with the past leadership and poor choices this team has had (that we are still paying for).http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2008/09/baton-of-fault.html

There is alot of negativity on these threads (understandably) but we could even pull out a win or a really close loss this week. And a loss against the Pats is an improvement:err:. I think the loss against the AZ Cards was a good thing.....Why you ask??? It gave the secondary a piece of what could happen with the Cheatriots this week. They can now better prepare, we have a decent run stopping defense and if the Phins can do what Porter says they are going to do "throw the kitchen sink at him" well then I think there is a chance. By frazzling Cassel and pressuring him he could make mistakes that we can take advantage of.

After saying all this....There is always a glimmer of hope....just maybe. And if you dont believe me....then why are you going to watch the game this weekend????

Its called hope.

P.S. I am a glass is half full kinda guy.

GO PHINS!!!!!!!!!;)

I know I'm going to get crucified for this but, IMO we match up better with New England, than with the Cardinals. I know I know, my biggest reason for saying that is because, Moss and Welker are pretty damn good where as Fitz and Boldin are Great. Plus Zona is much younger/faster where the Pats are old. Merk my words Arizona is going to beat the pants off of New England.

For the last 4 years, I have been way over-emotional about the losses and the make-up of this team. I am taking a different approach this year. I love this team no matter what. I am flying to Miami for my third time in 4 years to see them play at home. It was very tough to watch the collapse of the Dolphins and see them go from an every year contender to the laughing stock of the NFL. It's gonna take alot more time than not to get this team back to greatness. I would love to see us beat down the Pats. Even if we only have 2 wins this year (hopefully 3 when I'm there to see the Ravens), I hope we sweep the Pats. I'd be happy with that. Here's to surprising me Dolphins.

YES!!!YES!!! Join me on my bandwagon of hope....*please sign the attach waiver*...my insurance will not cover injuries due to falling back off the wagon this Sunday.

I think we match up against NE better also. We see them every year and I'm sorry but Warner, Fitz and Boldin > Cassel, Moss and Welker big time

YES!!!!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!! A POSITIVELY DELUSIONAL THREAD!!!!

A few points;

A loss is never ever a good thing. I used to not have to tell Miami fans this. Losses are negative and bad. There are degrees of bad, of course, from awful to not so bad, but, we've gone to both ends of that spectrum this year..And not in a good way. This teams effort was very poor against AZ, don't fool yourself.

A loss against NE will not be an improvment. It will be a loss. If it's a win, it's an improvement....If it's a loss, it's not....It's more of the same.

There is always hope. There is hope if we only line up 10 men on the field. That's not the issue. The issue is having trust in the way the team is moving, and, I think the jury is still out.

I'm all for a positive energy thread, but just so you know (and actually this further shows that we won't be like this forever) there have been a LOT of teams to do as badly (maybe even worse) then we did last year:

I just ripped this off espn, it shows how many really terrible NFL teams there have been over the years.

1976 Buccaneers (0-14)
1990 Patriots (1-15)
1973 Oilers (1-13)
1971 Bills (1-13)
1981 Colts (2-14)
1991 Colts (1-15)
1952 Texans (1-11)
1980 Saints (1-15)
2001 Carolina Panthers (1-15)
1934 Cincinnati Reds (0-8)
1960 Cowboys (0-11-1)
1996 Jets (1-15)
1992 Seahawks (2-14)
1989 Cowboys (1-15)
1949 New York Bulldogs (1-10-1)
1982 Colts (0-8-1) (strike-shortened season)
2000 Chargers (1-15)
1942 Lions (0-11)
1943 Cardinals (0-10)
1944 "Carpets" (Chicago Cards-Pittsburgh Steelers merged team) (0-10) Note: After one game, three players were fined for "inept playing."
