If you are in the black out zone. Call direct tv and tell them you wanna cancel because the dolphins are the only reason you have direct tv and if you don't have the dolphin game you don't need them. They will transfer you to a cancel department and then you tell them you heard you can order individual games for 44.99. Then proceed to tell them how messed up that is because you're allready paying for the Sunday ticket for that one and only team our beloved dolphins. Then just work them into giving you 44.99 voucher on you're bill. Then order the single game for that exact price. I just got off the phone with them and this is exactly what they can do for you because you want to "cancel" direct tv. that second department has the power to credit you're account offsetting the cost of individual game orders!!!

It took a little time on phone but well worth it to sit in my lazy boy and watch the dolphin game. Hope this helps and fins up!!!!

Nice dude! For those who can't afford direct TV (like myself) you can also stream the game

Here's another way not to get blacked out. Drink Beer or Liquor....do not mix the two...:drink:

Bethrens who are in the Black Out Area. I suggest surfing the web. You will find feeds for the game (trust me). Or send me a PM an I will send the link to you. For the last 5 years I have been watching the games online. I don't need to pay DirecTV. It's for free. It's in HD as well.

GO DOLPHINS!!!! KILL THE JILLLLS!!!!

This may all be moot soon. The FCC is considering ending blackouts since its not the 70s anymore.

The NFL has already stated they intent to fight it. I hope they lose too. It's nothing more than a money grab by the NFL. The NFL is afraid that if they over turn the black out rule they might actually have to lower ticket prices to attract people to the stadiums. That's my take on it at least.

Yep, the FCC really holds every card though. They could tell the NFL to eat it and laugh as Goodell slinks out. For a non-profit the NFL sure runs itself like an empire. Next thing you know they'll be made to pay taxes.

Haha. You got it backwards bro. Liquor before beer-have no fear, beer before liquor-never been sicker........Always take shots first man!!!

Ehh...I always order "a shot and a beer, please" every trip to the bar....the real key is not to make that request too often!

I am sure this will work. I have not payed for Sunday Ticket in 5 years now, yet always have it. I simply call and threaten to cancel every year and I eventually get ST for free among other things such as free movie channels, credits to my bill, and monthly discounts for a year.

Wow, DirecTV must have changed their customer retention policies since I had that service. When I called 'em up and let them know I was switching to Dish, they basically told me not to let the door hit my ass on the way out. They wouldn't even offer me a promotional rate they were giving to new subscribers at the time.

I get the Sunday ticket every year at a highly discounted rate. If you just work them a little they get low on the ticket price then they will start discounting things like receiver fees. And in the end it all evens out to a very good deal. Yesterday the lady told me she is not even sure I will be blacked out but I told her if at 1:00 the dolphin game is not on I will cancel. So she gave me $50 voucher and said if game isn't on just order the single game online. If game is on at one I would still enjoy my $50 off my bill.
