I think it was Jimmy V?, the college basketball coach the said before he died.

"Don't give up, don't ever give up"

Why are some of you Dolphins fans wanting to give up and blow off the rest of the season in order to take a chance on getting a higher pick in the draft and pick some kid that will cost the team millions of dollars and after that, maybe not even make it?

I loved Jimmy V....so sad at how he died, he made an incredible speech at the 1993 ESPY's that had me in tears, and i always take his "never give up" philosophy in life.

Jimmy Valvano....defeated those legendary 80's Houston teams in the 84 NCAA Hoops final with NCST and won the National Title

I remember that plain as day. Maybe some Dolphins fans should try to get a copy of that tape.

why? it would just sit on a shelf next to their brain... unused

At this point in the season, there are three types of fans, IMO:
1. Fans who are willing to write off the season in exchange for a higher draft choice.
2. Those of us abhor the thought of losing a single game, much less abandoning the final few games.
3. Fans want Saban to put the rookies in to see what they can do in real game situations.

For my part, I would like to see a balance of the last two.

Yes I would say I am a fan who can not stand for the Dolphins to Lose. If they Lose that week is shot so the last couple of years have not been great.

I agree. Plus I think it would be a wake-up call for the veterans that are out there and may not be playing "110%" (Chambers comes to mind).

Dolphins never surrender and never give up. Becuase then my Sundays would become useless and just depressing.:shakeno:
