I am pretty sure that no body has to worry about us picking Matt Ryan in the draft because I was watching the NFL Network and they were at Matt Ryans work out and they said that Bill Parcells and Tony Sparono were not there.

Our QB coach Lee was I think. Their were 2 of our guys there but I highly doubt we take him. He sure didn't blow anyone away from all the reports I seen.

If it's not a clear cut no brainer that he's the best player out there I doubt we take him with the #1. The bad part about his unimpressive workout is that other teams may not be as willing to trade up with us to ensure they get him.

I don't think we'll be drafting Matt Ryan unless we do it as a tactic to trade him to the Atlanta Falcons. And even then that's a dangerous move as we're not even sure if the Falcons will be targeting him. A more likely candidate is the Kansas City Chiefs. Damon Huard is old and Brodie Croyle is not progressing as they had hoped. We already have McCown and Beck and I don't think that Parcells, Ireland or Sparano really are all that high on Ryan.

Do you really think that Parcells and company want to go into the season with Beck or McCown as his qb? I don't think so. From reports that I heard Matt Ryan had a very good workout... Parcells knows the most important postion on the field is QB and if he feels Matt Ryan is a franchise qb he will take him.... With the logic that Parcells or Soprano weren't at Ryans workout does that mean we aren't going to take Chris Long either because they weren't at his workout

Doubt he will be the pick, but I haven't heard of either of those two being at anyones proday.

Ryan's going to have a private workout for the Dolphins!

I'm hoping they dont take ryan, just cuz Parcells wasn't their really doesnt mean anything though.

They sent our QB's coach instead. Makes perfect sense to me. Just because Parcells / Sparano weren't in attendance, doesn't mean we aren't interested. As some would say, "just another smokescreen"....:chuckle:

IN TUNALAND WE TRUST!!!!

First of all, Parcells is not the coach or GM of this team. He is the head of football operations, and though I know that his input is certainly heard, he is not the final word on who we play. So far our coaches seem to like McCown and Beck. Beck had a few bad games in his rookie campaign where he was thrown into a decimated offense on a winless team. He had no running back support, he had no o-line to keep him protected long enough to make his reads and get rid of the ball, and his receiving threats were subpar. The fumbles and int's were a cause for concern but those can be corrected. You can't teach determination, intelligence, work ethic, leadership, humility, responsibility and a will to win. These are all things that John Beck has on top of an accurate and powerful arm. His mechanics need improvement and he needs to learn to handle game time decisions better but show me one QB in the history of the NFL who you couldn't say that about entering their second year. The hate on Beck is completely unwarranted, no one could win with this team last year, not Trent Green, Cleo Lemon or John Beck. The only victory we got was because the Ravens were just as bad as we were at that point in the season. And it still took a bad decision on the last play of regulation to go for a FG instead of TD and a missed FG in OT plus an amazing play/blown coverage on Greg Camarillo to win. How many more years do we need to change our starting QB every season before we give a guy a chance to learn and grow?

Their is no way our FO will let anyone know who we are taking. They will take the best player there. To me all signs point towards Chris but Jake and Ryan could blow them away at the private workouts. Chris coming from one of Bills most trusted disiples (Al Groh) and being a non-stop give it alll on every play guy I think it's a no brainer. Especially JT seemingly rebelling the way he is. Their is really no sense in all the argueing though and getting your hearts set against or for anyone because our FO could care less who the media and fans want. I think the fans should matter since we are the ones that buy their merchandise and help pay their salaries but we don't. We will have to put our faith in whomever they get and trust they make the right choice.

Parcells and Sparano are not the ones that do the scouting, the scouts do!
