Risk/Reward, so times in life you need to roll the dice. If Tua is there at 5 you take him and never look back. The last time we went the safe route Saban went back to college the saints won the super bowl and the Qb we bailed on b/c of injury risk became one of the best of all time. I do not want to see Tua succeed else where. I'd rather have him fail with us then succeed with someone else.

Who are "the doctors?" Miami's? Doctors of all 32 teams? News sites that have seen the medical reports?
And believe NONE of it? 'Tau is now a paraplegic" isn't definitive enough?

its hard because people shouldnt ever trust news articles or pharmaceutical salesmen (doctors). Tua needs to get his body in shape, he's still young enough to make a full recovery. Just stick to keto, avoid grains like the plague. No matter who drafts him, he needs to take the year off anyway.

WTF?

This is absolutely the time to draft Tua and swing for the fences. Like you said OP, I’d rather him fail with us than succeed elsewhere because we were too afraid to take the risk.

This IS the time. We are loaded with early picks. Let the other ones go to the positions we didn’t pick by using that top 5 pick on a qb.

LOL!!!...Locke.You ever get that feeling ..your on a football board, yet somebody is speaking hockey?

I mean, I think I’m somewhere crazy. This guy legitimately said to not trust doctors and stick to a keto diet, and that apparently will magically heal Tua’s hip? And it was said seriously? Good god man.

He probably didn't even need surgery. A little ginko biloba, and eye of newt, and he would have been playing in the championship game.

That's assuming a gluten free diet, of course.

:munch:

@13marino13 I think someone left the side door open.

Just a super dose of calcium and those bones would never break again. But he definitely needs to drink the placenta of a baby born during a blood moon.

As long as Nick Saban, Bill Parcells and Dave Wannstedt aren't making the pick, we could be OK.

*thinks about it some more*

Oh, Chris Grier. ****.

Grier is going to single handedly make the pick?
He's going to tell Flores, O'Shea etc..screw you I got this?
All the UDFA/FA/P.S. players that we've bought in the entire season that was all Grier telling Flo/Oshea/Graham butt out? I got this?

Even if the dude goes on the greatest diet suited for his body and makes a full recovery....that doesn't mean he'll make a full NFL recovery. You basically need to have a superhuman body to play in the NFL cause you're gonna take a constant beating. Tua needs a full recovery X 2 in order to play football at a high level in the near future.
