I know hindsight is 20/20, but is everyone aware how bad Wanstedt was for Miami? In 4 years as head coach and GM he drafted 2 players that are still Miami Dolphins. Carey and Bell are the only 2 players he drafted that are still with the team. You can also say Rickey Williams came from him as he traded draft picks for him. It would be very hard to find another coach this century that had a worse record in the draft.
Then if you look at the players we missed it gets even worse. I will never forget 2001 waiting for 3 hours with one eye on the TV and the other on Finheaven so excited Brees was going to fall to us late in round 1, but instead we heard Jamar Fletcher's name called instead. The few people on this website that did not want Brees were pleading for Reggie Wayne. The following year everyone here wanted Anquan Bolden with Miami's first pick in the 2nd round, but we passed on him to get Eddie Moore. Can you imagine Brees throwing to Bolden in a Miami uniform, or Henne throwing to Wayne and Bolden?:boohoo:
