Article: Don’t look now, but I think the Dolphins might finally be getting it…

Saw this article on NFL.com, not too bad. Gives some insight about how it "used" to be in Dolphins land and how times are changing. We may be on the right track folks.

Random Thought: Im seriously convinced that Parcels hurt this franchise more than he helped it.

Any unfinished job, has the potential to hurt. Perhaps Parcells could have finished the job, but in the end it hurt. I agree with the post that things are looking up and getting better. It's not wins yet, but at least there is positive movement and direction. Hopefully the new regime can make some success so they have the opportunity to finish the job. It would be nice to be as proud as we once were, always in the season and the game to the end.

I had a lot of hope for the Fins after the 08 season with Parcells running the show. I thought we had a nice core of players headed by a good coach who ran a great system. I thought we were set at QB with Pennington for the present and Henne for the future. I thought we only need a few more pieces like a wideout and a few secondary players , and we would really be competitive for years. Very very quickly, my hopes were shined up real nice, turned sideways, and stuck straight up my rudy poo candy ass.
Obviously things weren't good at all before Parcells got here, but to have my hopes raised only to be totally dashed like that really ****in hurt. So now my attitude has become "I'll believe it when I see it" with this team.

That pretty much sums it up for me. I have hope that some day in the next season or two, Ireland, Ross, and Philbin will all be exonerated and all the pundits out there will be eating crow for all the **** they have talked about this organization. Time will only tell.

It seems like we lost three seasons after bringing Parchells in. We had such high hopes being real fans. I remember us all saying how great this was going to be because Parchells was a real football guy. Few if any of us realized that his time had past and he was a shadow of what he once was.

I remember us debating Chris Long vs Jake Long vs Matt Ryan with the 1st pick. Say what you want but taking a lineman over a QB was a good sign that this team was going back to the 80's instead of going forward to the 2010's.

IMO, what made things worse is that it took years for us to realize that things were not going to right way. Part of it was the secrecy surrounding everything about the Dolphins. We really had no idea who was making what decisions.

The Dolphins really needed a flush and a new direction. That way, Ross's way turned out to be the wrong way but it seems like we are heading back and turning the ship around.

It seems like we have a good crew now, some that still need to learn some on the job. I hope we can keep our coaches and players together for at least a couple of season, I see us being on another 3 year plan. I hate to say it but I'm OK with it if that means 3 season to being a REAL playoff team, not the pretender we were in 2009.

I think the days of 3 years is over. While I agree it may take that long, if you can find the right QB, you could seriously turn things around just after 1 year. If Tannehill turns out to be the guy we could easily be in the playoffs next year.

I cant even think of Parcells without making some kind of face of disgust. Good riddance to a washed-up loser with too much pride to admit it.

I agree things are looking up and headed in a better direction. Still gonna give the new coaching staff and players a little time to get their legs under them and set before I let a few losses ruin the whole season. Gonna take some time to get it all together..I hope sooner than later but I've been patient this far. What's another year or so??

I'm liking the way things are going. Love the focus change, the team really needed it since all the fanbase is loosing trust in the franchise. I hope we can do well in regular season. I'll keep my fingers crossed :p
