He might do well in a new enviorment and they were saying he most likley will be gone at the end of the year so......:confused:
 
there have been a couple of threads about this already. Most people on this board, including me, aren't too impressed with Brooks. He has shown flashes, but he lacks the consistency you'd expect from a pro quarterback.
his quarterback rating this year is somewhere in the high-60s/low-70s, which really isn't that much of an improvement on Gus. Brooks probably won't be cheap either
 
He's really inconsistent. But he does have Donovan McNabb potential. If he can just put up a consistent game, he's worth a look. We've had a good record of turning NO castoffs into gems (if you ignore Ricky's insanity last year).

the guy has no heart. he cant lead his team back, not something we want.

please just say no , to brooks ! Sage would the next dan marino if given the chance . and no one game doent count.
 
Brooks isn't my top choice, but I think he would be an upgrade over Gus during the 2-3 years that will be needed to find the right guy to draft (likely in 2007) and season him.

Donovan McNabb potential??????? Man, I sometimes wonder about these posts. Aaron Brooks is a terrible QB. Yes, it is true that he sometimes shows a good arm, and is fairly mobile, but the only consistent thing about Aaron Brooks is that he is consistently inconsistent. I have never seen a QB make stupider plays than Aaron Brooks (not even Feeley compares). Put simply, Aaron Brooks does not have the mental capacities to be a QB in the NFL. He can't even read a playbook let alone a defense.
Ask Saints fans to talk about Brooks, and you will consistenly hear them questioning his character and leadership. I've never seen a QB, or any player for that matter, that grins and giggles after making a huge mistake.
Aaron Brooks is the Tin man and Scarecrow rolled into one
. No heart and no brain.
 
draft Jay Cutler, the only FA QB I would like if he came available is David Carr, he's a good QB stuck behind a really bad o-line
