It's stupid to think the dolphins should draft a qb with the ninth pick in the draft... you might as well think we should draft adrian peterson or marshawn lynch, if he does well at the combine, and for the same reason we should get a qb....ronnie brown got hurt his first year as a feature back, ricky williams hasn't proven that he can make any contributions recently, why not go with a running back to back up ronnie brown

The dolphins need to make a quality pick at the #9 spot but it needs to be at a spot that needs some help, such as OLB.... patrick willis from ole miss or trade down and take posluszny and then go OL in the second or third round, and then wait and see if someone like troy smith or tyler palko slips on draft day, even taking chris leak in the later rounds would make sense, but don't waste the first round with a quarterback

didn;t ronnie only miss one game as a rookie? And if we didn't have ricky, i think he would have played in that game anyway

I'd love Patrick Willis personally. Guys gonna be awesome.

However, about the qb situation. Im sick of having scrub qbs. if Russell theres at 9 wee need to take him. if quinns there, ditto. I dont expect them to start right away, or even 2 years from now either. I expect them to progress and be ready to man the ship once the keys are given to them. Quality QBs take time to develop, and sadly, we'd need to take a guy in the first two rounds if we expect him to be great one day. I actually expect Daunte to be back and healthy next year, but i still want a qb in the first anyway.

Why should we pick a linebacker with the 9th pick? We have Zach and Crowder. Why don't we pick something that we have a REAL need for? Like Oline, safety, or corner...or, maybe a young QB if one is there that is potentially great?

culpepper is around 30 though right...i mean i want him to start badly but we will need a qb for the future soon

Tom Brady went in the sixth...you don't have to draft in the first two rounds to get a great QB.

i'm all for CB, theres a few guys id like at cb really, if we went OLB we should trade down and do it , not with #9 unless willis is really that good

i have a feeling that if saban would have stayed with the team he would have drafted landry from LSU, he was gonna do nothing but take guys from the SEC because at one point he liked them

Landrys the Best Safety in this draft for sure. if certain playerrs are already gone at #9, our new coach is not gonna have an easy time passing up on him.

The odds of getting a gem in the 6th like brady, compared to getting a great QB in the first, are very, very, slanted in one direction.

I'll let you guess which direction...

Because we need another bonafide pass rushing specialist other than Jason Taylor, that's why. Plus the type of linebacker we're looking for are different than the type of LB that Zach and Crowder are. And believe it or not, that is actually a need because our Strongside Linebacker spot isn't exactly... that strong.

And we don't need to draft a safety, though I could understand drafting an offesnive lineman or corner.

Well, look at the Qb's drafted in the first that have been busts. Not every QB out of college that looks like a stud is any good in the NFL. I'm not saying that we don't need a QB or a linebacker, I'm just saying, I think that other positions are more necessary. As for not drafting a safety...lol. Where are we going to get one?

say what you want about the need for a safety but y. bell did an honest job in his time at safety

The two most pressing needs are: a offensive left tackle and a bigtime receiver. Defense you can address later in the draft and free agency. The draft's in April. We ought to know if Daunte is stiull a gimp by then and if so, take a QB
