With all signs pointing to the gradual (if not faster) disappearance of receiver Ted Ginn from relevance, one of his former Ohio State teammates is more than willing to give him a new home.

Bills safety Donte Whitner, "retweeting" the headline to our story indicating that Ginn has been marginalized at practice, offers encouragement for Ginn.

"[Push] through this bro!" Whitner says in his message. "We'll take u!"

In hindsight, the Dolphins apparently are wishing they never had. Ginn's name was called at a time when everyone expected the Dolphins to take quarterback Brady Quinn with the ninth overall pick in the 2007 draft. Lost in the aftermath of that Cam Cameron curveball is the fact that the Dolphins could have had linebacker Patrick Willis or cornerback Darrelle Revis instead of Ginn.

By all appearances, the Dolpins are in the process of removing him from their future plans. And, at this point, he'll save his position there only by making the most of his quickly fading opportunities.

I would welcome Ted to Buffalo!!!

I think Ginn would do well in a place like Buffalo where they have 2 starting caliber WRs ahead of him. The problem in Miami is he is the best you got when he should be #3 at best.

#1 or #3 makes no difference if you don't catch the ball when it comes your way.

If you think about it though.. Ginn is probably 3rd in hennes progression reads anyway...Only time they try to throw to ginn is when they get in the huddle and say
alright ginn this one is for you" then he knows he has to run fast and catch...anything else forget about it

confidence plays a major role in that. W/o the pressure of being relied upon to produce as a #1 he can relax and just play. He can have a decent career when he goes to the right spot.

I disagree....a #3 WR usually means you would play out of the slot. Ginn has never ran crisp cut routes to be a slot WR, not to mention he is afraid of contact which eliminates going over the middle.....his only strenght is speed, that's it.

He would be a #4 at best at this point. His better than a Yamon Figures, but no better than a Joshua Cribbs.

Our passing game has NEVER relied on Ginn....he rarely saw the ball until Henne became the starter. He still hasnt been targeted too often, he just drops most chances he gets....not much you can do for that.

I say we compromise and just have Whitner come play here. That way everyone is happy.

Ginn could become T.O.'s ***** in Buffalo...that's about all he is good for!

Then when ginn stinks it up in buffalo T.O will hold a presser in which he will cry "thats my teammate...."

Unless there's great trade value involved, which is highly doubtful, he won't end up in the AFCE. Why would Parcells and Ireland want to risk the possibility of a reborn Ginn burning our corners twice a year? The Ravens, Cleveland or Washington are more likely landing spots IMO.
