I can't imagine this happening but so far its not looking good. If a CBA is not agreed upon and we have an uncapped 2007, there is a possiblity that there will be a lockout for 2008. Seeing this happen recently with the other 3 major sports, what would your reaction be? If the NFL took a year off like the NHL, would you feel betrayed enough to drop football? I know I can't. I'd give my left arm for a CBA right now.

na i wouldnt..id be mad..but it's football and i will always love it...its something about sundays in the fall that ill never forget..

You'd see a MUCH larger national outcry, that's for sure. Football is much more important to this nation than baseball and hockey.

I'd cry a river right after the 2007 Superbowl. 1 1/2 years without NFL Football? No, I really don't want to go through that. Even now I can't tell how long these days are until September........

If this doesnt happen , i honestly will not really care anymore about it, ill just be in utter dissmay and crawl into a cave, life without organized football would suck, i dont want to watch scrubs taking the places of all these guys come a year 2 years from now, i just wont have the enthusiasm knowing what would be in store. its like upshaw said once there is no cap they players will never want it again, its like telling a kid he can have anything inthe candy store but when he comes out he cant have it. so there fore the kid would stay in the candy store and eat and eat and eat. ( this is just a hypothetical scenario to better get the message across)

Not a Big Deal at all!

Don't get me wrong, I would miss the NFL, but I wouldn't lose a seconds worth of sleep over it. I wold watch college football and Highschool football and enjoy it very much. Why lose sleep for a bunch over overprised premadonna's anyway. Again to many more important things to get worked up about..

last time we had scabs playing we went to the superbowl. Miami always puts a good product on the field. for some reason scott secules comes to mind. was he the qb that won us games in the scab season?

:shakeno: we did not go to the superbowl that year:shakeno:

I really don't know what I would do. I would just be in complete shock and would be completely devastated.

Well said. College football is much more exciting to watch and even more exciting to attend.

Cities will riot, buildings will burn. Total chaos and anarchy will consume the country.

 Nah, just playin'; it will be a very long and depressing year. Looks like I'll be stuck watching the Lifetime channel with my wife the whole year.

You could appear on Oprah for this.

I think that even if a work stoppage doesn't run the fans off right away it can do long term damage to the league, as much I love football, I can't say for sure that it wouldn't damage the depth of my love and addiction for it.

I used to watch baseball....not anymore, I used to watch the NBA....not anymore, I became a later in life Hockey fan when Florida got hockey teams....since the lockout I've barely watched any of it.

While I don't think Football could ever lose me entirely, it could lose a part of me.

The league will not allow a lockout to happen. A deal will get done. Maybe not by todays deadline, but well before a lockout is ever even brought up. The NFL knows what it has and to tarnish it with a lockout would be very very bad for business. They will get it done guys just relax.
