Dr Z picks 5-11 For Fins

You know, sometimes its' good to be the under-dog!! We are DEFINETELY going to sneak up on a few teams this season...

I'm going on a limb with 9-7...

Never have been a fan of Dr. Z or SI. Can't believe they have buffalo at 8-8. We will see what happens. If you look back, most of these early season predictions are way off.

Or Pete Prisco, or Sean Salisbury etc.etc etc.

What I like about the A.J. Feeley trade from Philly to Miami is it gives the Dolphins an efficient, mistake-free quarterback with a decent upside. The Dolphins lost out on Brunell, then Ramsey. In the NFL landscape, there's no question that the next-best option was Feeley. I like him. Tough, cool, great teammate. Then there's the Heather Mitts factor. Your girlfriend will fit in just fine in South Beach, A.J.

I think Dr. Z is ok for a national columnist.

In general, their specific knowledge of the Dolphins is not great. So, they mostly go by last year's performance.

It's amazing how a football guy can rate a team who's weak armed QB is coming back from rotator cuff surgery 8th. Show's you they really don't look that hard at teams and just play the popular pick.

So?..does it really matter in the scheme of things?

He didn't give one reason as to why we are going to go 5-11. All he did was talk about some of our skill positions and our Offensive line. Nothing he said warrants his outlook on our season. I wonder if it's the same for other teams???

haven't paid much attention to Dr. Z for 20 years... he's THAT bad with his forecasting... sorry...

I dont think he's that far off. How much more can you really expect from us. I think 8-7 would be great, but im thinking more like 6-9 or 7-8....but 5-11 is realistic unfortunately.

our QBs are in need of something other than healthy rotator cuffs, hence the gloomy forecast.

we aren't going to do anything this year anyway, but unfortunately i don't think we'll suck enough to get leinart.

I glanced down the front page and I pretty much lost interest when I saw him predict the Colts to beat the Patriots in the play-offs.

we managed 4 wins last year, we are a better team this year, more than a 1 game improvement... but people say oh they still dont have a QB, they're done... blah theres more to a team than just a QB, our Defense will be tough, and our running game will come along with the oline which will open up some passes for whoever is QBin... im saying 9 wins
