He seems to fit our system. He is a smart leader and
he is healthy.Leinart we wll not have a chance to draft. I'm not
to gung-ho on Vick or injury riddled Croyle. Gus ,Sage,or Lemon
are not the answer. Rivers or Brees we will not go for.To much

His style reminds me of another Brady. I'm all for taking him between 8-12 which is where we will hopefully be. He might not come out though.

If he came out, I would take him in a heartbeat. I see him staying though.

How do you know Lemon won't be the answer? Have you ever seen him play? You probably know nothing about him.

I would use a thrid round pick on him at most. I believe he is considered a risk and with O-line, DB and QB being a weakness on our team I think we should try and use our first rounder for someone who has a better chance of coming in and making an impact.

I think Lemon should get a shot later this season...

But I am a big fan of Brady Quinn. Leinart and him are the only QBs operating in an NFL type offense, and they're both doing a hell of a job. The learning curve should be short for both these guys

Third round pick?

I am fairly certain he will stay at Notre Dame. He has a great coach , a program again on the rise , national prominence and a chance to be a lottery type selection next year , never mind the fact that few situations would develop him better than the one he is in.

Hard to see anything luring him out this season to be blunt.

Two personel NFL personel directors said that only Leinart was rated as a top 100 player from the senior QB class. If a big influx of juniors do not declare it will be a situation where Miami probably takes a QB in round 3 or later. I fully expect them to continue Randy Mueller's pattern of selecting a QB in every draft ( or almost everyone ).

In a way , we are lucky .....yes we definitely need a long term young QB , but we also decidely need help almost everywhere. Therefore , I expect Miami to implement the long term view while addressing needs... ie ... best player available.

Could be LT , CB , LB .... we have a serious lack of talent , and it is showing , not really a surprise though ... is it?

Off Topic, but i LOVE your sig byroan, LoL.... i'm on that one.

thread starter: what about Cody Hodges?

Yeah, I've been watching him closely today. He looks very smart - has a good and accurate arm, and has that moxy you want in a QB. That one TD where he head-faked the guy about to sack him, and then fired the TD into the endzone was amazing!!

I really think we'll end up winning 6-7 games, which'll put us around the 12th pick or so. Not sure if a guy like him will be available at that point. But that's all to be determined ...

3rd round pick on him?

If Quinn declares he COULD go #1...ahead of Leinhart.

No way in HELL he makes it out of the top 5.

quinn won't go ahead of leinart, not in a million years. but they could both easily go 1 and 2, depending on who's drafting

Quinn will go somewhere between 5-12. The guy is probably a top ten pick, why wouldn't you come out for the draft? I really think we should draft this guy. Leinart and him are not projects, everyone else is
