Hmmm . . . no secondary help. And I'm not sure about the Kareem Brown pick. He can't play nose, and Atkins seems to be the better 3-4 DE pick.

No way does Stanton last that long. He may be gone before our first 2nd round pick.

Is that horrible but 2 LB's? And 2 WR's? No safety or corner too so I don't see it happening that way.

Ozzy rules!!

I like your mock- I don't like Staley at #9, but with that trade down to #15 it's ok. I'd rather have Beck, but I could live with the Edwards pick. I like Beekman, Davis, and the Wolffe pick, and I think that Moses is underrated, could be an heir apparent to Jason Taylor. I don't know anything about the late picks that you have- maybe flyers on OLB Brian Smith, C Dan Mozes, and C Kyle Young, if he isn't still on his way to becoming a total turd.

Of those 2nd tier QBs I like Stanton the least. Detroit seems to be a logical fit, but I read that Mike Martz likes Beck, and that worries me.

1 Beck
2 Kolb
3 Edwards
4 Stanton

There's no way we draft Jeff Samardzija. It would be a wasted pick. He chose baseball over football and he's already playing in one of the Chicago Cubs' farm teams.

I don't like that Kareem Brown pick, let's see how the young guns on the DL pan out this year, too many needs on our pathetic offense. I think that Jason Allen will greatly help the secondary this year at CB, pushing Travis Daniels to the nickel. I can live with Reynaldo Hill and Yeremiah Bell at safety, but we could use some depth. Maybe the new guy Worrell is more than just a ST guy.

I agree with that. Maybe the Pats would take a flyer in the 7th- we need every pick that we can get. There's always the chance that he could pop his shoulder pitching and be done. I don't think that it's a terrible move to take him in the 7th, just not a team like us.

The first three are solid...then it all went downhill from there... but you get a A for effort.

Actually I get a D for effort- I'm just posting them as I see them. Which brings up a good point- maybe I should create my own mock.

I actually like the Samardzija pick. The 7th round is to take some players that either come from small schools or that there is some risk associated with (eg. Fred Evans and Rod Wright last year). I believe both evans and wright will be contributors this year. Now back to Samardzija...There is always a possibility that he doesn't make it in the MLB and if that happens we get a first round talent (Some were saying the 2nd best reciever this year) for a 7th round price. Does this sound familiar??? It should because the same thing happened last year with Rod Wright. There will be a little time for return on investment and Samardzija is a little riskier, but why not....it is very hard to find that diamond in the rough(Colston) in the 7th round.

Something else to point out, we know this guy is a gamer...he can definately play and the same thing happened with Drew Henson a few years ago. Not that I would compare anyone with Drew Henson because being on The Vikings practice squad isn't all that appealing for anyone, but he dropped out of baseball and a team(I believe it was the Texans....might be wrong) still had the rights to him and Dallas was willing to trade for him. It is a very logical 7th round pick!

I could live with this but I would prefer to get some secondary help and also another WR. the rights to Jeff are fine, but there is to big of a chance that he will never play in the NFL. He was to quick to sign a baseball contract, especially since he knew he would have been at worst a second round pick in the NFL.

Jeff Samardzija is PITCHING for Cubs farm league...he aint playin football
