The Dolphins need to get a QB and a LT in this draft. There are very few quality LTs available. I think the Fins will take either Quinn or Brown with their first pick. I also think they will move up into the late first round with their 2nd pick by trading the 60th pick (from the Welker trade). They will move up to get Staley if Quinn falls to them or their pick of the QBs after Russell and Quinn if they get Brown with the #9 pick. #40 plus #60 should get them the #20 or #21 pick.

My concern is that every team that wants a good QB and selects ahead of the Fins will take one in the first or second round. That could mean that Russell, Quinn, Stanton, Edwards, and Kolb will all be gone by the 40th pick. Staley will be gone also. If the Fins don't take either QB or LT at #9 and don't trade up from #40, they may get neither.

This is the only way that I can see them getting a quality QB and LT in this draft. IMO, it will be either Quinn and Staley or Brown and Stanton/Edwards/Kolb.

Thoughts?

my prediction is we take ginn at #9 then like you said move up to get staley or kalil

I like Levi Brown, Brady Quinn, or Leon Hall at #9. Trade down if those three aren't avialable and draft Staley. I then like a WR or C at #40 (Garrett /Higgins or Khalil/Beekman). Take QB - Kolb/Stanton (or WR if none are selected before - Higgins) at #60. Take the best CB/S (QB if not taken with the top 3 picks) in the third, best OLB/ILB in the 4th.

That run on QB's only exists in your imagination. Even if it goes twilight zone and all those QB's are gone, Zabransky and Beck remain, and they both have better stats than your so called superstars anyway. We may very well win as you sit and stew thinking we lost something.

The proof is in the pudding dude! A win is a win. Some guys just know how to win. Jared Zabransky is one of those guys and it would be nothing but good to see him in a Dolphin uniform.

Oakland, Detroit, Cleveland are all in need of a QB. IMO, any of those that do not take a QB with their first pick will take one with their second pick. The Falcons have nobody behind Vick and they pick before the Fins in round 2.

Raiders - Russell #1
Browns - Quinn #3
Lions - Stanton #34
Falcons - Kolb #39

Carolina and the Chiefs also have needs at QB. The Patriots are reportedly interested in a #2 QB to replace Cassel. If any one of those teams likes Edwards, all 5 will be gone. An even worse scenario is the Browns passing on Quinn and the Vikings taking him. The Browns would almost certainly take a QB in round 2. That could mean Beck will be gone as well.

The Fins need a QB. I wouldn't be happy with the 6th or 7th best QB in the draft. Would you?
