I have heard Pittsburgh has serious interest in Levi Brown and they have a couple extra picks so...

Miami trades #9 to Pitt for #15 and #77 if Brown is still on the board at #9.
Miami can then trade #77 to KC for Trent Green.

Miami can then use #15 to fill a major hole (at a lower salary than #9). I would endorse Ted Ginn Jr. to electrify our return game and add fireworks to the offense.

Then we could get a grade 2 QB to learn under Trent Green in round 2 or 3.

we wouldnt have to get a grade two QB if we take john beck, BYU. he is really good. good arm strength, acuracy, mobile, smart, great reads. he will be good after sitting for a year

y trade the 77th pick? makes NO sense and becomes stupid for one and two why draft 2 QBs?

I am sorry, I might not agree with trading the 77th pick for Green, but where in the statement did you find drafting two QBs? I'm confused.

We will not have to give up a first day pick for Trent Green, PERIOD! I don't mind getting him to tutor whatever QB we do wind up drafting. Beck would be nice in my opinion.

It's only six spots your not going to get a 2nd and a third. Be happy with a 2nd.

First off the 77th isnt enough to move up to the 9th, their 3rd and 4th would still fall a little short. Also if we trade down to 15 it wont be for Ginn it will almost certainly be for Joe Staley the OT from Central Michigan. That being said, I would take their 3rd this year and a 4th next year. Trent Green will not cost a first day pick unless our FO is stupid. So if we trade down we would then have 5 picks on day one and 5 on day two(Assuming that we give up one for Green).

I would love to see.....
1st(#15)- Joe Staley OT Central Michigan
2nd(#40)- Dwayne Jarrett WR USC
2nd(#60)- John Beck QB BYU
3rd(#71)- Ikaika Alama-Francis DE Hawaii
3rd(#77)- Josh Beekman OG Boston College

Francis is about 6'5 280 and runs a 4.85 40, he has a motor that doesnt stop and Scott Wright calls him a poor mans Luis Castillo but the guy is very raw and will need to learn technique to get by in the pros.

Beck is a grade 2 QB.

Thing is, Mul has already said they are taking a QB day one. Why would he trade a day one pick for Green and still go after another on day one..You'd have to consider Staley at that #15 spot as well. WR is deep and we could get Rice or Gonzalez or Smith later...although I like Ginn a lot. I just have a feeling that if we can't get Quinn, the pick will be Hall or Brown or Carriker...someone who fills a depth spot, but not a definitive need for this year, you all know...BPA

yeah, just trade them a sixth and leave it at that. the pressure is on them. not us. just sit and wait.
