I Remember When Ronnie Was Drafted The Word Was With His Style And The Fins Scheme He Would Need Time To Adapt And Would Be The Best Running Back In The Draft....a Year Or Two Down The Road. Sure, We All Want Early Success, But A Player Needs To Develop In A System Or Scheme To Flourish. Steve Young Took A Few Years To Develop.

Caddy On The Other Hand Would Fit Nicely In The West Coast Offense And Would Have Early Success.

The Media, Fan's And Non-experts Call For Immediate Success Or He Is A Bust.....is Absolutely Absurd.rome Wasn't Built In A Day And Sabans
Model Team Will Take Time To Draft, teach And Mold .....so To All You Ronnie Bashers...get A Clue........it Is You're Lack Of Insight That Just Fuels
The "armchair Qb" Stereo-type...and Have Not One Bit Of Football Intelligence

RB is not like QB.Is not about a system.Caddy is just the better pure runner.

That Was Just An Anology...you Missed The Whole Point And Yes, The West Coast System Is Easier On A Rb......sorry You Don't Use Knowledge Of The Game And Just Wing Your Thoughts Out There.

One of the dumbest things that I heard ....

West Coast is base on short passes which allows the safeties to move up help support the run.

No, actually, it is about a system in some cases. Ronnie Brown's case isnt. He's not adjusted to the NFL's speed, and his O-line is not opening holes.

so your saying that the broncos have had really really good back for 10 years???

or the system just opens them up

Blocking scheme not offensive system. Is not about having a better "blocking scheme" because we have one of the best Oline coaches in the NFL but also player evaluation. The Broncos have done a great job of player evaluation and put together some good offensive lines.

Excuse me but the west coast offense is more complicated than that

in the west coast the safeties usually play a medium range zone and they try to level the receiver when he gets the ball that leaves some room to the O-line and tight ends to open up some holes and since the safety is slower getting to the line the back can create more....

If you see the jets safeties were close to the box all freaking game because our o-line cant blick anyone on the pass rush so they can rely on man coverage downfield and often miami receivers where open but gus always was throwing from the back foot

Huh?

You play bump and run to distrub the shorts passing attack and move safeties that how you counter west coast.

Wow...not Too Smart....i'll Leave It At That....wow....dummmmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbbbb

Guys You Are Helping My "lack Of Football Smarts" I Coached In Nfl Level As A Scout And This Hurts My Intelligence........west Coast Isn't About Safties Or Defense....it Is About Opening Running Lanes And Fast Quick Reads....that Simplify A Rb's Movement To The Whole And Opens Straight Lanes Vs Cutback Lanes Or Reads..........i Am Not Going Into Depth...but These Comments Are To Weak For My Feedback....i Think Some Of You Are Hopeless...i Joined This Site Looking For Good Feedback...and Am Not Getting It,

Ronnie Brown Is A Dive Back Between A Gaps And The Blocking Isn't There For His Style...he Will Have To Bounce It Or Cut It And That Requires A Greater Learning Curve Than Caddy,,,, Who Will Hit It And Lb's Are In Pass D Or 2nd Assignment......much Diff

History has shown it is for the first few games.

Since when? If you have a west coast offense generally you have a decent running game. Such as Seattle does with Shawn Alexander.

pooor pooor Ron he needs the right system to stop bouncing around before he hits the holr.
Didn't we have Gordon, he did that.

Hmm Curtis martin and the jets run a west coast offense, and look at that, They led the league in rushing last year. The seahawks and shaun alexander also run a west coast offense, and look at that, they were 2nd by 1 yard. So did the ravens during Jamal lewis' 2000+ season. I can keep throwing names at you but i think i proved my point.

At the end of the season I'll put Carnells name up with them. However, in a year or so I'll also show how Ronnie Brown is the man. He will be the focal point of our offense someday. catching passes, running the ball, making blocks and scoring touchdowns all over the play. But that day, is not today.
