The GM League Draft is coming up very soon so I figured I'd give you all a little bit of information about the upcoming draft.

1. The draft will begin on Saturday, March 24th at 8 AM eastern time.

2. There will be 5 hours between picks in the first round where the team that is on the clock can decide. This number will be switched to 3 hours when we enter the second round and beyond.

3. You can leave a bulletin of players you wish to draft incase you're not around when your time comes up. You can give your top three players or more for that draft spot. I'll give an example below.

Team A:
1. Alan Branch, DT, Michigan
2. Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansa
3. Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville
4. Ted Ginn Jr, WR, Ohio State

4. There will be two boards, an official draft thread and an unofficial draft thread. If you wish to talk and speculate about each teams picks, please do so in the unofficial draft thread. Official draft thread is for drafting players ONLY.

5. If you fail to pick a player for your given time slot and don't give us a bulletin for us to go by, we will be forced to go BPA.

6. If you do not show up for the draft, for example, if you don't leave a bulletin or make us pick for you (BPA), you will forfeit your draft selections if we must do this for 5 straight selections. For example:

Miami has two first round picks, one second round pick, two third round picks, two forth round picks, and a fifth round pick. If the draft committee has to pick for Miami BPA for five straight selections (1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd), they will forfeit the rest of their draft picks (4th, 4th, 5th).

7. Please do not complain if the draft committee selects a player you didn't want if you failed to show up for your time slot OR didn't leave a bulletin. You've been warned.

8. Make sure you have enough cap room for all your draft picks. If you don't have the cap room, you forfeit your picks.

9. You're probably wondering what the draft committee is. The draft committee is a group of five individuals (excluding Saint Greg and me) who will monitor the draft with Greg and me. The draft committee is hand selected GMs who have demonstrated good organization skills and who have some knowledge about the upcoming NFL draft. This years draft committee is looking like the following.

GM LEAGUE DRAFT COMMITTEE
1. TractorTraylor
2. schisno
3. Stitches
4. azfinfanmang
5. vadolfan

10. Make this years draft enjoyable, Greg and I are doing our best to make this league run as smooth as possible and so far it's been great doing this. Please do your best to show up for your draft times, which means check frequently to see when you may be coming up. If you notice that your selection is coming up soon, please send a bulletin incase you cannot make your draft selection.

If you have any questions, go ahead and reply here. Thank you and good luck.

I admit, this has been the smoothest running off-season yet, so cootos to you and Saint Greg for keeping things moving and running so smoothly. I have not seen any lag time, so pat yourself on the back.

GridIron i would like to help out in draft i would love to, i always like helping.

One thing I'd like to add. Please make sure you have room for your draft picks under the cap. If you don't have cap room, you forfeit your picks.

I can help if needed. I can also monitor the draft form work throughout the day. Let me know if I'm needed.

can't we just make cuts after the draft. This way we can make moves on draft day also.

The rule is you can't go over the cap once free agency starts. You can make all the moves you want on draft day, as long as you don't go over 57 million.

I just want to confirm a few things that I didn't see spelled out.

The 5 hour and 3 hour limits apply to all day? There won't be any "down" hours at night correct?

When I send my bulletin do I send it to all 5 members of the committee, or just one? Say a committee member is picking ahead of me, I don't want to give away who my (top 5?) is.

We did a fantasy draft in the PoFo and we found that the surest way not to hold up the guy behind you was to send him your next pick. He can't take that player ahead of you, and you won't hold him up.

Can I give permission to a non committee member to draft for me?

No down hours at night.

You can choose any one of the committee members to send it to or myself or Greg. I'd prefer you send it to more than one person so everyone knows, but do what you wish. And as long as you say who will be selecting for you to one of the committee members if not all, then that should be fine.

Hope your questions have been answered.

That clears it up. Thanks. And I will send my bulletin, when needed, to as many as I can. I won't just leave it up to one or two members to sign on regularly enough to make my picks.
Thanks again Grid. You are doing a great job.

Last year "The Comittee" did a good job of having organized communication during the draft. If one of us knows we are on the hook for an upcoming pick and there is a chance we wont be around, we will make sure another member is going to be available. I understand your not wanting to show your hand, and I appluad that. But
all due diligence will be followed by the committee I asure you, and we respect the picks somebody covets.

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll run even smoother this year. I'm very excited for the draft, only 8 hours away. :D

Last year the committee did an outstanding job.
I'm sure you will all show respect for our picks. But it cuts both ways. I don't want a committee member to feel guilty or be falsely accused when they select a player submitted to them on a "bulletin"
