The only place the dolphins will have the chance to draft hardy, assuming they dont trade down, is with the 32nd pick. While you can debate all day that the Fins have bigger needs than a wideout, he's a huge target. While many people will knock him for his speed, he still is the biggest threat of any WR in the draft 40 yards down field. Personally I don't think he'll have any problem getting off the line because he's got long arms and he's pretty strong for a wideout despite looking a little frail. If a QB can't throw a fade to Hardy in the red zone then they're not an NFL quarterback. I have met Hardy when I worked with the IU football in training camp and some of the season as an athletic training student. I can tell you that he worked harder than any other player in practice and put in more time after practice than anyone.

This is not much of a highlight reel but the last highlight is the most impressive and it gives an idea of how much bigger Hardy is than Justin King from Penn St.

As far as the character issues, I think he has acknowledged his mistake and is moving past it. He is a very focused individual that has made his goal playing in the NFL. I think he'll be the best WR in the draft, maybe not right away but he has the biggest upside.

well if parcells sticks with his no thugs rule than hardy probably wont be on the radar unless he can prove he has learned from it all.

If we don't get Chad, I'm game. Hardy is awesome, he would be the first WR taken if it wasn't for some off the field troubles IMO.

Let's pray we get him. Just in the redzone alone it would be awesome!!!

care to clear up the off the field issues.

I have heard conflicting reports, it would be nice to know what actually went down.

I would rather have kenny phillips if he falls to 32.

but hardy's size is intriguing. fill me in some more if you don't mind.

Well it's difficult for any of us to TRULY know what happend but it was a domestic violence call. When the cops arrived Hardy actually had some nicks and cuts on his person but apparently he struck his girlfriend. I really don't know much about it but it sounds to me like the old rule of "A man should never strike a woman."

randy moss would have been taking some major heat if that was his headline.

first impression tells me to stay away from this dude. but time will tell.

Question is with a guy who isn't really known for speed is......how well does he handle press coverage?

But yah with his height he should make a solid possession receiver and a big target in the end zone. Especially when you face a team with no corners taller then 6 feet.

WR that early... i definitely do not want that. You can find WR's all over. maybe not Moss or chad or terrell... but there are tons of good WR's around that will help us. we need way too much more right now then WR.

free agency would be the best place to snag a WR right now i believe.

drafting wise: if not Desean Jackson then wait late rounds. I am loving Jordy Nelson, who Flacco also spoke highly of... otherwise looking at the WR class, there not many sand-outs to stab at... wait for the undrafted there Amarri Jackson??? big guy for slot (if he can fire off the line)

you want a guy to watch that might go undrafted or at least in the later rounds.

todd blythe from ISU... I don't know if anyone would reach for him in the 4-5 rounds or not.

being a diehard Hawk fan, I can't stand the cyclones, but he is a great talent.

he blocks well, has great hands and he's a baller. He makes plays.

I can only hope he falls to us on the second day.

He is 6'4", some people say higher. IF he doesn't run that well at the combine, it will only help us. If he does good at the combine, he will trigger other teams radars for sure.

i saying if we have to get Hardy that high in the draft liek 2-3... i'd rather pass and get someone else to fit our other needs that i think is more important. there are WR's all over in FA and such.

plus i dont like character issues... he hit his wife and infint son... that doesnt sound to great to me. nice guy huh???

striking a child to the point that it is in a police report. is not good.

not that the female hitting is more acceptable. but that sounds like a guy just snapped, and we don't need a loose cannon. and definately not at 32 overall
