I think we should and will use two of the top five picks on Tackles. Parcells and Co. love to have depth on the front lines. This is sound philosophy. Towards the end of the year, your Oline can get beat up. It's nice to have some youngins there to step in in a pinch.

Right now, our interior line is fairly deep with Grove, Smiley, Thomas, Berger and Alleman. But the perimeter Line - the tackles are woefully thin. We need to add two young guys - one each behind Long and Carey to groom.

I think we'll do that (at least one tackle) in the first four picks. This draft is apparently very deep at the tackle spot anyway.

I agree some Oline talent should we addresed with these first 5 picks but not necessarily two tackles...

Two tackles in the top five picks after taking Long #1 over all last year (a huge contract) and resigning Vernon to a huge deal in the offseason.

I see us adding O-line depth, but not two tackles that high. Maybe a guard in hte 3rd....

I don't see any of you first three picks begin used on the O-line...

I think the trifecta should just follow the strategy articulated by Ireland. Draft within a talent band on the board by position of need. Also, I believe their is an opportunity this year to move back a few places while acquiring more picks. Mainly because there are no must draft positions. It would be great to maximize talent inflow and not address positions.

look for a combo guy...a guy who can play guard or tackle later in the draft....i think we actually go skill guys like LB's and DB's maybe even Wr's the first few picks

we need to address both guard and OT....

We selected S.Murphy in the 4th and Thomas in the 6th so I`m pretty certain this year will look the same unless some great talent fell to us earlier.

Herman Johnson, anyone? If, God forbid, Jake Long goes down, we can put Vernon at LT and Herman at RT. Obviously Vernon is no Jake Long and Herman's a tad overweight and immobile, but it would be better than nothing, right?

Yeah. I heard an interview with Herman Johnson. He sounds like a bill parcells type. He could be groomed for either Tackle spot. I'm not comfortable with Brandon Frye and Nate Garner as it stands.

Johnson is something like 6-5 350 I believe. He just lost thirty pounds using a dietician.
