I’m not interested the first 2 days. Thought he was exposed at the senior bowl

According to Ian Rappoport, Jeffery Simmons is headed to Miami for a visit. It's stated that he's shown an MRI to teams and it shows his knee to be healing well. Simmons is the biggest wildcard of round #1. Do you draft him and sit him a year to get him healthy for 2020 or place him on the Designated to Return list for 8 games? He's got top 10 value in terms of talent, but his injury and off field stuff may hurt him.

I'm happy you brought up Nelson, he is a very similar player to Flowers coming out of college. Average athletically, stout against the run, and some work today on pass rush.

There are gems like these all throughout this draft, I absolutely love the mid round talent on the edge this year.

Hard to pass on a guy like Simmons but we never seem to have any luck with players coming back from injury.

Wilkins is my favorite DT from the ones that we'll have a shot at.

John Cominsky is an interesting developmental guy, but his Combine might push him up too far. Always hard to tell, and I wouldn't expect much from him early, but his physical skillset is appealing. Full disclosure on him - only saw his Senior Bowl game (couldn't find anything else), and I tend not to value those games. I'm mostly interested in his tools. In the game, he let OL get into his chest too often, but the burst off the line and athletic ability were apparent.
I'm away from my notes until the weekend, and I'm drawing a bit of a blank, but I'll mention other guys if they come to mind. I do know that Omenihu and Nelson are my favorite fits.

I keep forgetting about Allen, and he's largely a fit. Just wonder if he's fast enough to play DE in this system

Came Wake came back from his horrible injury, and we somehow got 16 games out of a made-from-glass Mike Pouncey

I really like Garret Bradbury, Dalton Risner and Chris Lindstrom I just feel like so many teams need OLine and all the good ones will be gone before the third round.

Zach Allen may not test to be the most athletic guy or draft prospect. But he seems like the type of player, you can never count out. He has a motor that never quits and has a lunch pale type mentality. He's stout against the run. And plays to the whistle. Jimmy Johnson once said, Zach Thomas may not run a 4.0 forty, but his instincts are 4.0. This his how I'd describe Zach Allen. The guy is just A Football Player!!! He may slip, who knows, but he may also, outplay some of the more highly touted DE in this class.

That's fair. I'd guess that teams draw the line somewhere, but I don't know where it is.

My feeling is that Allen is a good athlete for a 3-4 DE, and I view NE's DE's as kind of hybrids - somewhere between 3-4 and 4-3 DE's.

Think McCoy and maybe Risner could be there at Miami 2nd pick. The rest of the good ones will likely go Top 40 - probably in the 1st.
