Take it with a grain of salt, but I heard on sports radio here in the Bay Area that Denver really wants to move ahead of Oakland, presumably to #3 overall, and take Drew Lock.
That seems like a stretch for Lock, but look at how high Josh Allen went last year to Buffalo in a more talented quarterback draft. Those two have similar skill sets, big, athletic, strong arms, accuracy issues.
The Denver rumor is odd for a couple of reason. First, Joe Flacco is 34 so the Broncos really aren't forced into a quarterback now mode. Also, Lock seems like too much of a hit or miss. But, Gruden also was said to love Lock at the Senior Bowl so maybe there's something to that. Denver may see Lock as a star and would hate the idea of four games a season versus Patrick Mahomes and Drew Lock.
