Those are our draft picks. Now hear me out. If we spend ONE of our first 3 picks on an olineman and then select 2 olineman on day two i think our oline will be fine for the upcoming year. We only have 2 spots open and our first day pick will immediately start and than toledo and later draft picks will fight out the remaining oline spot. So your oline will be somewhat solidified by using the 60th, 108th, and 219th selections in the draft.
That addresses the oline. We still have the 9th, 40th, and 71st selections on day one. You can be sure these 3 selections will adress QB, WR, and a defensive position.
Possible scenarios:
quinn, anthony gonzalez, fred bennet
willis, trent edwards, jason hill
ted ginn, merriweather, Drew stanton
landry, dwayne jarret, kevin kolb
Any of these scenarios i would be happy with. In all of these, we add a talented WR, a playmaking defender, and hopefully our future developmental quarterback. We also add young talent to the oline that Hudson Huock can work with. My ideal draft would be to draft willis/landry first round because both of these guys will be playmaking probowlers. I'm looking down the road not at this season when saying willis would be the smartest selection in years...Mueller drafted deuce mcallister when he had ricky williams so drafting willis when he has a very old zach thomas is very very Realistic. Grabbing a solid wr early in round 2 has the potential to turn out to be an anquan boldin. Then we take a solid quarterback and cam starts working on him asap. If we do this our team will get younger, more athletic, and more talented.
Then looking at next years F/A and draft we could adress: C, NT, CB, DE
