I always find it interesting to track the "evolution" of this site's mock. Our first round pick has gone from a consistent Glenn Dorsey, to a one-time Darren McFadden, to a consistent Chris Long, to a one-time Sedrick Ellis (post-Senior Bowl), to a two-time Jake Long, and now back to Chris Long. I think that is it. There may have been a one-time Matt Ryan in there as well. Anyway, here is the latest:

1. Chris Long
2a. Pat Sims
2b. Carl Nicks
3. Andre Woodson
4. Eddie Royal (WR - VaTech)
6. Thomas DeCoud (FS - Cal)
7. Jo-Lonn Dunbar (ILB - BC)

I would not be thrilled with the lack of a CB or TE, but I don't find this to be terrible. As I consider us taking Long more and more, I feel like that move will only happen with a trade of JT. So then, the pick we would get in return for JT (likely a 2nd) could be used on a CB or TE. I do feel as though we will need to address ILB sooner. It's foolish to believe that our 6th and 7th round picks will be anything more than special teams guys.

It's fine except for Woodson. And I'm not sure about Royal either.

First time I've seen a draft with Carl Nicks.

The only thing I would swap out in that draft is Woodson for a CB.

i like the 1,2,2 picks but not the rest. I'd take a ILB CB or TE over Woodson (i dont like him). I'd love jonathan goff at 3. we need LB help now that we run a 3-4. cant have too many LB's in a 3-4. they have to be the most skilled position on D in a 3-4

I am a Beck supporter, but I would not be upset at all if we landed Woodson there. Woodson on Day 2 is a steal. I could think of a lot worse situations than having Beck and Woodson vying for the starting job.

(Of course, the best scenario would be if another team wanted to move up and grab him with the first pick on Day 2.)

I love Goff, but that would be very early for him. I am surprised, but he has slipped down into the 5th and 6th rounds on several boards. I think he would be an absolute steal at the top of the 6th (if he is there).

How does no one like Thomas DeCoud in the 6th?? He's a 3rd rd player. He may be the best safety from this draft.

I agree, Woodson would be great value at that point. People are putting way too much stock in a sub par Senior Bowl performance. He will be a solid QB.

6. Thomas DeCoud (FS - Cal)

I don't like it much, I think this is better
1) Chris Long
2a) D. Cromartie(or best available corner)
2b) Best available tackle(Gosper Cherilus)
3) John Carlson
4) Best available linebacker or nose Tackle
6. Thomas DeCoud (FS - Cal)
7. Jo-Lonn Dunbar (ILB - BC)

I remember before the Louisville and Kentucky game this season they were talking about Woodson being the first player drafted. His stock has fallen soooo far it's crazy. I agree though, he could be a very solid NFL QB.

I actually really like this draft. Dunbar is a really solid LB for the 7th and I think that Eddie Royal could turn out to be a very reliable #2 receiver too.

All that said, I really hope that if we don't make any trades that DRC is sitting there at 32. His stock is rising quickly, but you have to think that at least one top tier corner (Mike Jenkins, DRC, Talib, or McKelvin) is going to be sitting there at 32. Not to mention Cason. I hope that we grab a corner.

I like your draft- Goff would be a steal in the 6th, and maybe another OL instead of Rucker- I do like the TE Carlson, though. Love the bomb, brotha.

i would love to get him even in the 4th. he is so good. i dont see him slipping into the 6th though. everywhere i have looked he is either a 3, or 4th round guy.
