Why has nobody talked about drafting Devin Hester out of UM, he is an explosive very fast return man who can play wideout, runningback, and cornerback, he could come in and make an immediate impact for us anywhere we put him........he could be just as good as Dante Hall as a punt returner....this guy is a game changer and if you ever have seen him with the ball you know what im talking about. Why not make a move for him in the draft? He could go late first round or second round he might be a bargain pick up for us in round 2.....but I deff. wouldn't pass on this kid!!!!!

I seriously doubt if Hester will be a 1st round pick. A 2nd round pick is also stretching it because he really has shown what he could do other than returning kicks.

He is overated, and he is not the type of corner that Saban wants.
 
hester will be there 2nd day. if he is there in the 7th, then sure id take a shot at him but not before that.
 
he might not be a full time corner but he might be able to play the nickel....and the main thing he contributes is his speed on kick and punt returns. and could be a nice number 3 or 4 wideout....he would be a wes welker X4
 
I don't think Devin Hester is going to be selected in the first or second rounds. I would actually be a little surprised if he was taken in the third round. He's unproven. He didn't play enough of any position to really have a clear cut professional position. I think he'd be a great return-man but he's very green everywhere else. If we want to upgrade the return position (which could be a possibility, though I'm very pleased with Wes Welker and don't mind him at all, he's at the very least consistently productive) I think we should consider either Randle Atwaan El (though I don't know if he's still available) or draft Sinorice Moss or another player who can both return kicks and play a position for us. I'd actually like to see Moss as a third option. He would give you the deep threat to stretch a secondary and would help to open up Chambers and Booker more.

By the way, Edge just signed with the Cardinals.
 
imma hafta disagree Devin Hester is fast and has great potential but wasnt even the best corner on his team. he may go in the third round
 
Why did you post this in two different forums?

Hester is no where near a 1st rounder or a 2nd for that matter. You don't take a returner on the first day of the draft. He needs alot of work before he can be a NFL CB or WR. 4th rounder tops.
 
Dante hall was taken in the first round to be a return man if i remember correct.....i didnt mean to post in two different forums i messed up my mistake.

not quite....5th round from texas a&m 6 years ago or so.

Dante Hall was a 5th round draft pick out Texas A&M as a running back.
