My opinion is to draft playmakers. Playmakers make things happen out of nothing. OLine just has to be average if you have great playmakers. If you have a great OLine and no playmakers it doesn't always work out but there are some exceptions. Does Seattle,Pittsburgh,Minnesota all have amazing olines? The answer is no, Lynch,Bell,AP make things happen. Every year it seems like we take a lineman with our top 2 picks. That hasn't really worked out for us. Switch it up and get a playmaker. The best playmaker in this years draft is Todd Gurley. Yes Cooper/White/Parker are great too, a RB sets the tone. If the RB is top notch then the defense stacks the box, play action opens up, and now the WR have it easier. We couldn't run the ball when we needed late in games last year. Short yardage we couldn't get, this forced us to pass and the defense knowing we were passing. Hopefully we switch it up and get a playmaker and not another lineman.

Ooo joy another Todd Gurley thread

You see what Dallas did? They have the best O-line in the league because of drafting OL early every year.

You draft the best player on the board. Position shouldn't matter with a top 15 pick.

They got killed for the Frederick pick too. He was not supposed to be a first rounder and they reached for him. Turned into a gem though

you would absolutely expect a playmaker like gurley or another guy who could impact the offense but we'll probably pick another olineman or dline and keep everything staus quo, that way guys like nick1 and everyone else who advocates lineman in rd1 can sleep at night. when are people going to realize the one common thread as to why this team has been mediocre to awful the past 20 years is BAD OFFENSE???

Parker , Gurley , Waynes are the the only guys id take at 14 .

Unless by some miracle someone like Vic falls .

even then I'm skeptical about Gurley .... I think that id trade down if Parker is gone

Yeah IF we already had the play makesr they do, we could afford to do the same. We are not close.

Don't be a "Gurley Man." Miller put up great numbers running behind maybe the worst run blocking OL in Dolphins history but, gets no respect.

great point southbeach, every single person who says oline in 1st should remember what you just wrote

IF we go OL in the first, I will think that Tannenbaum and Hickey were out with Ireland the night before, and drank a keg of Guinness along with many bottles of Irish whiskey. It may well be the dumbest move I could see in many years of being a Phinatic, and will stop posting.

The fans that think Miami is going to draft an injured running back who might not even be able to play the first half of the season with the 14th pick, with so many glaring holes on this roster, are living in a fantasy world. It would be crazy. If they feel they need a running back, this draft is loaded with talent.

Gurley is the biggest difference maker in this draft,a rb routineley gets 15-20 carries plus 3-4 recs. a wr if lucky gets 10 touches. Miller sucks cant break rm tackles cant catchand has horrible vision. People we are to used to accepting mediocrity make the jump and see what a elite rb does for Tanney and offense
