Drafting players with potential

Because they can contribute right away and you get a quality player on a rookie deal. Rather than develop them and when they finally reach that potential in year or three or four they hit free agency or get traded away.

You have to deal with free agency regardless.
 
There will be a lot of players from this draft who will start or rotate in and play a lot. Now, do you get excited and say it was a Great draft or come to the realization that the roster wasn't very strong to begin with in the first place?
