I dont see that happening. I really don't see Al Davis passing on J Russell or Detroit on Brady Quinn for that matter. I have a feeling this guy may be a bit out of date on these picks. So far in most of the mocks I have seen...they have Jemarcus Russell and Brady Quinn going 1-2 respectively. I wouldnt trust this site....there are better ones out there. But that is just my opinion.
 
We need OFFENSE guys, c'mon. We gotta go offense unless they blue chip rated players are taken. Then and only then go defense.

But we can not afford to pass on top ten rated Defensive talent. I said it

once and I'll say it again, every draft is more than just the first round.

The franchises that have draft success year in, year out play the board and

seldom reach w/their picks. We need help everywhere.

He is NOT and I repeat NOT an NFL type WR.

We would be drafting a career slot and maybe eventually #2 WR with the 9th overall pick.

Well go Offense in the 1st round.. WR is a must. Way to many drops last year. and i think were gonna let Wes go :(

That's cool, but it's not about trusting someone else's analysis and/or opinion. This site has been around for a couple of years now and like other draft sites I use them for some scouting reports, profiles and other tidbits I wouldn't come across otherwise like the prospects I haven't watched myself. However, I don't take anyone's opinion on anything as gospel.
 
i would love it if we picked up Ginn Jr....Not only for his wide receiver skills but his punt/kick return ability. I know Wes is solid at returns but Ginn could take it to the house and we saw in Devin Hester how much that can change a team. DRAFT TED GINN JR!!

I think we would be smarter letting Chambers go maybe even get a pick for him. Booker should be our #1 WR anyway, he has more big plays and is more consistant than chambers. Wes is a baller and a winner we don't have enough guys like him.
 
How often do you see a return man have continued success in the NFL? Not very often. Once a guy makes a name for himself as a dangerous returner, opposing coaches make it a top priority to stop them. Anyone remember the last time Dante Hall returned a kick for a score?
 
Tedd Ginn Jr. reminds me of Charlie Rogers from the Lions. The same type of excellent speed, burst, vision and looks like he can be broken into 2 pieces with his thin frame. Alex44 is completely right. We can take care of the KR/PR postion later on in the draft. Devin Hester was taken with the 55th pick. Let's not spend the 9th on a KR.
P.S. What happened to Charlie Rogers?
 
I'd rather see Dwayne Jarrett than Ginn. KR/PR is better found later. I don't think Raiders are going to pass on a QB and I don't think Bucs are in the market for one either considering they have 2 young ones already. I think Quinn will fall like Leinart did last year.
 
There are definately a few things wrong with that mock:

1) No way that Clevland passes on Adrian Peterson
2) Randy Moss will still be in Oakland next year
3) If Oak and Det pass on Quinn, he will fall out of the top 10
4) Ginn is a KR with a few WR skills; he is NOT a top 10 pick
and that's just the top 10...
