Realistic Roster For 2008?

With Just FA signings.

Offense

QB- J. Beck/S. Hill/T. Hasselback
HB- R. Brown/R. Williams/L. Booker
FB- R. Mauia
WR- B. Berrian/T. Ginn/D. Hagan/K. Colbert/D. Carter
TE- B. Troupe/D. Martin
OL- S. Satele/V. Carey/R. Hadnot/L. Shelton/J. Gross

Defense

DE- J. Taylor/M. Roth
DT- V. Holliday/B. Young
OLB- T. Suggs/J. Porter
MLB- Z. Thomas/C. Crowder
CB- W. Allen/D. Florence/M. Ware/A. Goodman
FS- E. Wilson/J. Allen
SS- G. Wilson/Y. Bell

I guess thats more realistic...

I understand the cap but, we could fit all these players under it.
 
There isn't a chance that we'll be able to get half those guys...but I wouldn't mind picking up g. Wilson, Florence, and Troupe.

Florence is a great guy who is flying WAY under the radar in SD because of Cromartie playing like Superman.
 
It's a great looking roster but there's no way we could fit all of those guys under the cap, even given the amount of space we have.

Both Berrian and Johnson are going to get over-priced contracts due to the lack of WRs on the market and the amount of teams needing them. Adams and Gross will both probably get some bigger contracts as well.

I like the Suggs pick up for the 3-4 but that leaves Jason without a spot. I just don't see him playing DE 100% if we're running a 3-4. Love the Florence pick up, the kid has talent and a change of scenery will do him a lot of good. I also don't think we need 2 new safeties. If Bell can come back, and thats a big IF, then he, J.Allen and a FA should compete for the two spots (I do love me some Gibril Wilson though)
 
yeah, a bit off there. too many FAs, but it wasnt horrible. dont want any old guys. love the troupe pick up, have been saying how much i want him for the past few years. remember him in college? wow.

Troupe would be a starter right away no doubt.
