"There was no doubt on our sideline we would come back and win," said Brees, who threw for 298 yards. "They had given us their best shot, and we had played about as bad as we could play. All we had to do was string together a few drives and gain the momentum back. We knew it was going to happen, and it did."

This quote sort of pissed me off! Maybe he is still bitter about getting rejected.

I don't think its disrespect. It's more of him stating the Saints are a resilient club, and that the team never gets down on themselves, no matter how far the odds look. They always believed that they had the talent to come back in any situation.

The Dolphins didn't come through, plain and simple. He gave us credit by saying that they couldn't handle our best effort against theirs, but they did come back while we crumbled.

If the shoe fits.....

They're still seeing no parts of the superbowl. Their defense is nothing to write home about.

He still holds onto a personal vendetta against this team, even though this is a totally different regime (owner, GM, Coach, VP of Football Operations, etc)

u freakin want respect? hell no we dont deserve no respect kid, u want respect u gotta earn it. Respect aint given, its earned, we sure as hell aint earn it today letting a 24-3 go like that.

bitter? disrespect? what do you expect your team is 2-4 what do you guys expect? Brees is just saying his team is resilient and they are confident they would come back. pulling for strings here

The Saints never respected Miami. Even at 24 - 3, you could see that they never thought they would lose. Why should they respect Miami? What does Miami have? It was Miami's chance to show something great. It was your chance to shine - to step up and be great. But instead, you totally folded. I mean totally collapsed and now you look even worse. I mean people have to flip you coins and pat you on your back and say, "Are you alright? You guys did good." It's that sad.

Geeez dude...we lost a game we probably should have won. But we also lost to the best team in the NFL. Not saying its ok to let the game get away....but if there is one or two teams in the NFL capable of pulling off that kind of rally...its the Saints (and Colts I suppose). People make it sound like we are a pathetic football team. We're not. We're a team who has holes to fill...but promise at the same time.

I'm not surprised and yet at the same time somehow surprised by the reactions here.

we certainly proved that for at least 30 min...as far as that whole Brees/Culpepper deal....I can repeatatly kick my OWN *** for us not taking him instead of Daunte!!!.....If only we would've taken Bres instead.....hmmmm.....makes me sick!! f**k it!

Bad play calling, bad decisions, bad ref calls, and bad luck was the only way we lose that game. All of them happened. Saints are more than beatable. That was our season though.
