hey I was just wondering what all your guys thoughts would be on us ending up drafting Drew stanton in the 2nd and grooming him to be our future at the Qb position? Wouldnt it be great if we used the pick we got from new england on our qb of the future!!!

What do you guys think i mean if Quinn isnt availiable at 9 then who should we take at qb and what round?

just go under position and find stanton under qbs.
 
A general consensus on this board is yes, we would be thrilled with Stanton, Beck, Quinn, or Edwards. We need a QB.
 
look at stantons big passes then quinns, stantons wrs are always falling down or ctaching behind them where as Quinns are all on the dime in stride or tight squeezes. It can be b/c of the clips they used but thats what i hear about quinn NON STOP and read about, he throws in stride like no other Qb apparently.

yea but im saying if quinn isnt the pick at nine then what do you think is the next best option?
 
I truly don't believe that Quinn will be available @ 9 ... really past 6 ...

'Could' we move up to get him there ... sure - but I wouldn't bet a whole lot on that.

Personally, I see us moving down - not up ... to pick up an extra 3 /4 rd pick -- and 'potentially' have 5 X 1st day picks.

There are several GMs that just will not draft a QB in the top 10 ... as a mere measure of self protection / preservation. And with Peterson, Johnson and Thomas sitting there ... it's much easier to go with the 'sure' bet.
 
I think Stanton is a first round talent. With a better supporting cast, he would be mid first. I follow the big ten closely and have seen as much of him as anyone.
 
I think Cam Cameron will follow the San Diego approach to the draft this year.
Just like San Diego did the year they drafted Brees. They had top 10 pick they traded down collected picks then frafted Brees with the first pick in the Second round.

This is what Miami will do I think... LOL

So it could be a trade down, Staley in the first, then Stanton in the late first or early second.

But you know this is all pure draft fun. No one really knows what will happen not even the Fins.
 
it's already been said.but if the raiders go with calvin with the first pick.then they go stanton with the first pick in the second.i agree with this,it;s the best move they have to get younger and get two key players for years to come.plus whoever the qb is ,they will have to learn a new offense.it might as well be a rookie.
