Looks pretty good at times. He's a smart QB and is in the mold of a Drew Brees type passer. Very good on the short and intermediate routes. Could be a good 3rd round pick.
 
Being a Iowa fan i support Tate, however he may not get drafted at all.
 
whats getting me this is like the thrid or fourth post today about draft picks...now i know the dolphins has turn out not to be what everyone expected...but.. it is still only the fourth week..its not even close to the end of the season and even futher from the draft....sooo lets talk about the dolphins and their season like we are here for and talk about the draft when the time comes:wink:
 
It is a bit early to be talking about Drafting. Todays weaknesses can be tomorrows strengths.
 
Oh yeah and sorry about making this thread in this forum i meant to put in the draft forum. Even as a backup Tate could make a good contribution. The one thing that i have taken into account is the fact that he beat Saban in his last game at LSU.

Why would you say that? Is he really that bad? He's been a starter for a while and he makes good desicions as well. I don't see why he wouldn't be drafted. If the mods could move my thread to the draft thread i would be very greatfull.

I never said we should not draft a OL. If we get a shot at Joe Thomas that would be great. I just think that Drew Tate could be a steal in the later rounds and if anything a develepmental guy.

Tate is a really good player but he may be too short for a QB. He's only 5'10"
 
I think Tate is a qb in the Drew Brees mold. We will see him shine when the Buckeyes go to Iowa City to collect their first loss of the season.

I doubt it! the Buckeyes will win! but yea tate is a decent qb but we have other needs before we even look a qb.

And Drew Tate is a playmaker....but he's a little small.......we'll see.

What do the 2009 prospects look like? I knowwhat you mean. Alot will happen between now and the draft so it's not even worth speculating right now.
