Ok, all I have been hearing/reading lately is how Chris Chambers drops everything and how reliable Marty Booker is or has been. Well check out these stats........

On the season Chambers has 5 drops, and how many does ol Mr. Reliable Marty Booker have you say??? That answer would be 4. So Ok, Chambers has one more dropped pass than Booker......Oh how Chambers sucks, and Booker is Sooooo reliable!!! LoL, gimme a break. Anyway here's a list of players that have either as many or more dropped passes than Chambers this season.......

Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Reggie Williams, Dennis Northcut, Reggie Wayne, Braylon Edwards, Ben Watson, Marvin Harrison, Larry Johnson, Matt Jones, Brandon Jones, Randy Mcmichael....... and that's just SOME of the players in the AFC.
In the NFC there's even more, but the most notable ones are.......
TO, Darrell Jackson, Randy Moss, Steve Smith, Alge Crumpler, Joey Galloway, Donald Driver, Torry Holt, Brian Westbrook, Reggie Bush, Larry Fitzgerald, Santana Moss, Donte' Stallworth

Is this the stuff from Scouts, Inc? Tell me, how does Scouts, Inc (or whoever these stats come from) determine what is a "dropped pass" or not? What is the criteria they use? Can you find that out please before you start gloating? Thanks.

OK. Now defend his 43% catch percentage. Go. I'll wait.

My problem with CC is production related. He hasnt dropped much lately cus he is not getting the ball thrown to him. When he does, it is when he is double covered and it gets intercepted. There are many variables involved. Overall, he is a #2 WR IMO. I dont think he goes anywheres next year because he is signed and we want to stay cohesive. Hopefully, CC gets into the show next year more as JH and DC get more comfortable in the system.

This doesn't change the fact that Chris Chambers is becoming as big of a disappointment as John Avery, Jamar Flethcer, Yatil Green, etc. Even more so in my opinion because we've had the chance to see what Chambers can do atop of his game and it's so depressing to see a guy with so much ability do so much of nothing.

The dolphins drop the passes in the worst situations it always seems like. That is why we stand out. All our drop passes seem like we need them or we lose the game.
Besides, what is counted as a dropped pass or not. because I don't think it counts as one if the receiver is totaly stretched out and drops the ball on his finger tips trying to haul it in.

those stats arent correct really. also, if you actually watch the games and dont think Booker has been better and more reliable, your blind.

I agree 100% and I just have a feeling that Chambers has dropped more then 5 passes.

Chambers has had the ball thrown to him 122 times this season, and he's managed to haul in an astounding 43% of them! Even Hagan has a higher catch%, and he's been credited with dropping 7 passes. Chambers has the lowest catch percentage of any reciever thrown to that many times, and even last year he caught less than half of the passes thrown to him. In contrast Booker catches 61% of his passes, which is a servicable number. Welker catches 70%!

what % of those passes to chambers were actually catchable though? to Booker? to Hagan?

see you dotn know that stat, so that stat is totally irrelevant because you dont know what that stat truely means.

Could this possibly be due to the fact that most of Booker and Welkers catches are short 5-10 yard catches, and a lot of what they've "tried" to throw to Chambers has been horrible dowonfield throws to Chambers that have been under/overthrown, thrown at his feet, or just flat out thrown out of bounds, even passes that were thrown away by Joey but went in Chambers direction count towards that "astounding 43%"

Aaah, so this isn't a Chambers issue, it's a Joey Harrington issue. As much as I've seen Chambers overthrown, it still doesn't explain his horrible career catch %. Simply put, for a #1 reciever option, he's not worth his exorbiant salary.

From Stats, Inc., a "dropped pass" is:

Any incomplete pass which was catchable with normal effort. STATS compares and reviews the judgement of multiple reporters to determine if a pass was dropped.

I would be also interested to see how many more passes were thrown to Book than were to Chambers. He and JH are starting to gel.
