Here we are again Dolphans. Another crossroads for our franchise where mediocrity rains supreme and passion is nowhere to be found all along the sideline. Any phish who didn't see this coming since the 16-13 escape verse the Jets have been fooling themselves. In the immortal words of Herm we are who we thought we were.

So where the hell do we go from here? Nearly 20 years removed from the heartbreak and underachievement that was the Marino era, this franchise still has no identity and no clear leadership. We as fans continue to grow more and more impatient, longing for the years long past us by. The 20 somethings like myself never knowing a complete team, only getting by with half measure like the great d of Zach and Jason or the amazing running of Ricky.

Coach after coach. QB after QB. The list is long and the results forever frustrating.

I myself have no clear answer. I love this team but my life is only so long and to continue to beat my head against the same wall is becoming tiresome and foolish.

I now drunkenly present my goals for the offseason knowing none of them will come to fruition and the moves ultimately made will be wrong and painful.

1. Fire Failbin. Tomorrow. Yesterday. Immediately. His regime is a joke. Unable to close out games we have in hand and unwilling to admit mistakes when obvious (Dallas thomas).

2. Trade/ cut high priced players whom can not lead a franchise. Great catch Wallace now kindly Gtfo. So long Wheeler and Ellerbe you will never amount to anything, invest our money wisely. Trade Wake who shows up in flashes but disappears when we need him most.

3. Focus solely on offense in free agency. Move Pouncy back to Center where he never should have left. Bring in Guards who can actually block and our online is elite. Lastly sign a playmaker who can do more than run fast. Hello Dez Bryant. Nice to meet you Adrian Peterson and Demarco Murray.

4. Draft defense, defense, and more defense. Give me a true ball sniffer at MLB. A young ball hawk and durable safety to pair with Jones. And multiple pass rushers to rotate in at a moments notice.

5. Give Tannehill free reign to run the offense. Audible, run, pass the fact is we will not find a better option in free agency or the draft so take off the handcuffs and just let him play. Maybe he succeeds and maybe he doesn't but like it or not he is our only option at this point.

6. Most importantly get me a coach who has some fire and history of success. Harbaugh? Ok. Shannahan or Gruden? Great. Dust off Cowher? I'm on board. No to any first year guy, coordinator or college that is not what this team needs. We have talent, just desperately need a guiding voice. Hell Rex Ryan would be a welcome addition at this point because at least it is obvious he gives a ****.

The Pats era is coming to a close and the division is there to be had over the next few years. The Bills are a legit QB away. The Jets are not even on the map.

Ok ok that is all. Time for another beer. I will be wearing Purple at the game next week and strongly urge any true Dolphins fan to go ahead and do the same. Enough is enough and it is time to send a clear message to Ross and Co. that we as fans deserve better from this storied franchise before we become no more relevant than the Browns and Lions of the League.

I love you all. Fins forever up. See you next year.

Hell I like the plan. Philbin has to go. Wallace has played well. Need to fix the o-line, defense and Coaching

Mike Wallace is a good piece who can be part of a good offense. We need to replace others before him. It is not his fault that we overpaid him.

I disagree that NE is coming to a close. Those bastards are going 13-3 again.

If they make it to the SB I might move to Iraq.

NE goes as Brady goes imo and he has 3 years left tops. The rest of the team is nothing to write home about as was obvious in the 1st half. That being said Belch is a once in a lifetime coach on par with the greats Walsh and Shula so maybe he pulls another QB rabbit out of his hat.

I hear the weather is nice in Iraq this time of yr.....the only teams that have a chance to beat NE are Denver and Balt and they can't do it on the road.....the Pats are praying they get a second chance with KC so I expect them to get to the SB this yr....Belichick and Brady know time is running out and Revis hasn't had a sniff of the playoffs since he left the Jets....

Gronk, Revis, Wilfork, Mayo, Jones, Edelman and Billy Boy all might have something to say about that...most of the people I named are better than anyone we have at that position...

Mike Wallace was not mediocre. Clay was not mediocre. Tannehill was not mediocre. Landry was not mediocre. Philbin's clock management was not mediocre. While Trusnic is a backup player, he exceeded my expectations.

The problem is that there are not enough good depth players, and we are missing good starters at some positions. Hickey did a reasonable job of adding talent, but this team is not underperforming. I actually thought the game plan was good this week. It was not executed. The players did not make plays. Those blaming Philbin and the coaches are blaming the wrong people.

Not a single scoring drive in the second half. The team has no heart. No killer instinct. That is on the coach. Been the same story for weeks now. It all comes down to coaching. As Philbin has said seemingly every week since he has been here, he needs to do better. Unfortunately he can't.

The entire team was beyond mediocre today open your eyes. One play here or there does not a season make.
