I don't know if anyone noticed, but Duce Staley has been demoted to 3rd string on the Steelers roster. I know we're playing them next week and a trade by then would be out of the question, but what do you think of that scenario? Duce is a great back, and I'm sure he is unhappy being 3rd string, and the Steelers have more pressing issues that they could give up one of their three great running backs.

I'm sure he's not thrilled at being 3rd string, but it's nothing new for him. While on the Steelers 53 man roster last year, he spent most of the season inactive, on the sideline, in street clothes.

I think you're basing your assessment of Duce on what he USED to do. Staley was never a GREAT back. Now, he is getting older, slowing down, has been injured, etc. Besides, I really don't think Staley fits the type of scheme we run in Miami.

Pass, we have no need for Deuce. Too slow for a third down back, which is what we need, not a bruiser IMO.

Duce is not a great back,never has been ,never will be. He's fat and slow, if he was a great back he wouldn't be 3rd string anywhere!!

Well put my brother.

The Eagles wouldnt have let him go if he was elite. He WAS a quality back ohhhhh 5-6 years and a wheelbarrow of Donuts ago....:lol:

I watched him in extensive action in week one of the preseason here in the desert. Dude is fat, slow, non-motivated and very non-impressive. Db's were taking him down with arm tackles. I would much rather have KayJay or Gerald Riggs.:wink:
